I was about to ask "already?" then realized first pitch was supposed to be in under an hour...

I wonder when they'll make it up. This was their only series against Batavia.

Ryan Scott put on the DL yesterday after being hit by a pitch and pulled the day before. Even if he's only out the 10 days, they still lack a fourth outfielder. With three OFs in Salem already on the DL, any ideas on a move that they could make? Aybar?

I'm going to assume they just stick with the three and play an org guy out there for a game or two if necessary. They won't make a move if Scott's only going to be out for 7 days (it's a 7-day DL in the minors).

DSL Red Sox continue to cruise with a 11-3 win. Isaac Pinales, who signed on July 2, made his pro debut.

Devers not in the lineup for Portland today. Mars is back in the leadoff slot so I don't think his absence would be connected to the all star game.

Ockimey with some solid opposite field power, two-out solo HR in the 1st. Barely made it over the wall, wind certainly helped

Devers was activated by the Sea Dogs, with Monge going back on the DL (for some reason, only retroactive to Tuesday - must be some rule on that with all-star breaks). I doubt they bother doing that if he were going up right away.
Brian Johnson getting activated was the countermove for Peralta. They're going to need to activate Beeks for his start on Saturday, which will require another move. Wouldn't surprise me if they wait until Monday on Devers given that the PawSox are on the road right now but come back after this series.

Outstanding pitching performances in Pawtucket, Portland, Salem, & Greenville tonight. Those 4 teams surrendered 2 runs total (and one of them was unearned)
The one earned run was surrendered by a relief pitcher, so the starters were unscathed.

Okay so I'm probably not getting Rafael Devers in Syracuse this weekend. But Michael Almanzar showed up on the Chiefs today! With, like, no explanation. I can't find a report on the Tigers releasing him or the Nationals signing him.
EDIT: Just for clarification, I wasn't at tonight's game, so no first-hand reports. Hope to get to at least two of the next three. Especially if they do switch things up and promote Devers.

Raudes may be turning the corner in what's been a disappointing year. 4 ER in 17.2 innings over three starts. 2.04 ERA. 8BB/12Ks. Not a great ratio, but he's been good his last three starts. Hope he can roll with it.

Hope he can roll with it. First time seeing him live tonight. Didn't seem to flash anything too special, but kept guys off balance for most of the night. Wiggled through some jams, albeit against a team that is having major trouble scoring runs. Anyone know why his delivery from the wind up is so wacky? It's gotta be the craziest I've ever seen, even though I don't even think the first half of it does anything, as he comes to the regular wind up position afterwards.

Everyone has their pregame rituals or unique tics to their game. Could be just the way he feels most comfortable.
