Lol first pitch of B9 was shot to 3rd and clunked off Forsythe's glove.

i didn't realize Kluber's got 5 different pitches and what's worse is he throws to any location on any count. He changes speeds, can spot anyone of his pitches anywhere he wants, and he's got at least 3 plus pitches to boot. Simply put, this may be the best pitcher the Sox face all season.

So Pomeranz comes out after 5.1, obviously 103 pitches is the more important number, but it does make me think about his innings on the season. After tonight Pomeranz is at 136 innings, his career high was last year with 170, and if he makes every start for the rest of the regular season it would be 6 or 7 more. Based on that, and since Pomeranz is usually 5 to 6 innings per start, is he on a pace that could become an issue with a deep playoff run? Barring the Sox doing something to limit his innings down the stretch, Pomeranz will likely finish the regular season close to his total innings last year of 170. To me that seems pretty manageable, as even if the Sox went to the 7th game of the World Series, Pomeranz might make 5 or 6 more starts, 30 to 35 innings more max, does anyone see this potentially becoming a problem?

Gomes is not a polished analyst, but how fun would it be to sit in a bar with him and watch a game together? His signature lines tonight seem to be "swiss army knife" for Holt - and use of the word "sniff" (which my wife noted - she is reading, I have the game on, she is not fond of the "sniffisms"!

If hitting Nunez on purpose is part of the "unwritten rules " of baseball simply because he took a big cut at the previous pitch, then they need to rewrite the rules. That's stupid, if that's what happened.

I'll never say that Mookie's bat ever kills this team. I have all the faith in the world with a bat in that man's hands.

Last night's win was sweet (the Fister factor)...tonight's would be even sweeter.

Wow the Tigers are basically rolling over for the Yankees in that series. Would be great if the Yankees stop facing some of the worst teams in baseball outside of facing the Sox.

Hanley, last 10 games - 8 for 40 - .200 - 1 HR, 5 RBI - 13Ks. It is one step forward, one step backward - tough night, not clean up hitter type stats.

Bruce has gotta be last batter for Reed, right?

So Reed has proven to be homerun prone so far....

I still trust Reed more than any others. Mostly because at least it seems like he knows where the pitches are going

So Reed gave up a long home run to one of the better power hitters in baseball. He got the next guy and didn't meltdown. Insurance run(s) would be great right now but the Mookie RBI last inning WAS insurance. We have an elite closer. He's just got to do what he does.

I'd pinch run Marrero for Devers here, but maybe that's just me.
