Frustrating - game blacked out here (can't watch it on mlb.tv) - how does Pomeranz look (velocity, location, pitch mix)?
Also looks like they are not making McCullers work much - ave of 10 pitches per inning...

Dang, this offense just doesn't seem to put together good at bats.

It took McCullers less than 20 pitches to kill the line-up in the first two innings. This is getting ridiculous.

Talk about a lazy play. What was Pomeranz doing? That's a EASY out.

first hit.....by Brock Holt. It is great, but that is a big problem. Let's go JBJ.

Strike 3 was not a strike in the top half of any inning today.

Terrible call, but I feel like X should have been more aggressive on the 2-0 pitch. If there is one thing I wish he and this team would do, is look to mash when you are ahead in the count.

Hey look, he finally gave that pitch to Pomeranz. I guess he's a recency bias guy.

I dunno -- this team and its games now just have the feeling of a team that has run out of gas. No criticism intended, it happens. This season has been a struggle performance-wise for many of the players, there have been a host of nagging to moderately severe injuries, and it feels like no one has any oomph anymore.

This season has been a struggle performance-wise for many of the players, there have been a host of nagging to moderately severe injuries, and it feels like no one has any oomph anymore. And with all of their extra inning games, they've essentially already played at least 6 extra games. so yes, I suspect being a bit gassed is a factor.

It is hard to watch. However, everything seems worse when you aren't playing good baseball. It seemed so good on the last road trip, i would have never guessed this home stand in a million years. What you hope for is that it comes back just as quickly as it disappeared.

Benintendi looks suddenly lost at the plate again in this homestand. Swinging at stuff he usually lays off and knicking stuff he usually squares.
