We may as well make every game a bullpen game.

I still like the Devers/Verlander matchup. Right hander with high heat vs Devers swing plane and bat speed. He just needs to adjust to the spin rate.

Don't stop posting. We need all the bodies we can get!! I like your style, And if I may say so, with the run that was taken away in Jackie's at that and what could have possibly happened afterwards will never know how this game could have gone. However I love games like this where it's obvious the teams are fighting tooth-and-nail for everything. Three Cy Young's in the game and one other Ace in the game so far. Tough sledding for hitters in the rain See, this is the kind of game I hate. Nervous, pacing, swearing, I'm a wreck. Like someone said, the RS are the troublesome girlfriend I can't bring myself to ditch.

This may sound bad but no girlfriend has ever given me the joy that the Red Sox have given me in the last 14 years.

I think that home run off Chapman has screwed him up because he's trying to hit every high fastball at the eyes 500 feet. That is not going to work long term.

Devers is a pretty cool customer for a 20 yr old.

I agree to an extent he still uses the whole field, however accomplishing The Impossible in such a ravid environment in the way he did and superhero fashion is nothing we can hold against a precocious 20 year old rookie. Can we? Now that "Ollleeee Bulll***"

"He looks like hes done this release role thing before" He was a full-time reliever at one point AJ come on bro you were in the league at that point you might have even caught him He knows he pitched in relief. He was literally his catcher at that point. That's what he was referencing. It was somewhat tongue-in-cheek.

I think that home run off Chapman has screwed him up because he's trying to hit every high fastball at the eyes 500 feet. That is not going to work long term. I think that's his natural swing, he just has so much bat speed that it appears that way. It's pretty much the same swing he had in the minors and has had all along. The little slump he went into is more likely fatigue, he's played a lot more games than he ever has in his life. ADD: The first half of the year, except a few games here and there, I wasn't watching the Red Sox, I was watching the Sea Dogs. I started watching the Sox when Devers got promoted to Pawtucket.

If Sale comes out for 7th I'm guessing that would mean he is not available for game 5?

He seems to swing at the high ones too much.
