The Ump seems to have made a decision that between Verlander and Beni, he's going wwith Justin. Every close call...Justin.

A bit disappointed to not see Workman, Hembree, Scott, Travis, or Lin on there, but I can't find a better alternative so it's really more of a problem with the roster limit. (Not that it's too low it's just annoying)

I wish they were all like today's Springer.

Who is the last non-soft starting pitcher the Red Sox have had in a playoff game? Jon Lester?

Can't wait to see them extend Sale at $35 million/year into his late 30s.

And Nunez already down. The Sox have really bungled handling of some players health. That hurts in every sense of the word and then some.

That pitch was RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE. Sale has lost his effectiveness for the year.

Feel for Sale, we wouldn't be here if not for him. I think these guys got too cute going in so often. That 2nd home run to Altuve seemed like the same location as the first.

maybe, but early season Sale likely doesn't get hit like this. He wasn't sharp enough today.

Neither one of those Altuve HRs are out in Fenway.

It'll be a quick series then because the if the Sox pitching can't control the Houston historic juggernaut, the Sox can't compete with its light offensive machine.

Pedroia's last at bat was the momentum changer. Terrible.

There is no reason to bring Sale out for the 6th.

Next year they have to make it a point to give him time off built around the AS break. Treat it like a 15-day DL stint.

Oh good Joe Kelly up to stem the bleeding. But first let's make sure that Sale can't come back until game 5 by using him in this inning.

Sale is now getting squeezed like hell. There could have been 4 strikes before Gattis hit the double.
