One of the things about small sample sizes is that they're... small. If Horford had tried one less shot, and made one more of the ones he did take, he would have been at 50%. That's to go with 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocked shots. You're welcome to your opinion, but I think he had a huge game. Oh but that's kind of my point, perhaps I expressed myself poorly. He isn't bad even in relatively off nights, he still puts up numbers and he still is very productive. Kind of like when people say Lebron had a bad game and he puts up 25-7-5. The bridge between his great games and average ones is definitely smaller this year.

Will this team play defense again this year? They gave up 30 points in the second half.... really 27 if u take out the buzzer beater the Mavs hit while the Celtics stood around bc the game was over. You can’t play max effort defense for 4 quarters 82 games a year. Your guys would burn out. They did it to start the year but we knew that wasn’t sustainable. The good thing is they are winning games and still kicking it down when needed. I’d like a better first half effort tho. All those years when we sucked the same exact thing would happen. Good teams have a hard time getting pumped up to play teams like the Mavs. They turned it on when they needed too. I have no problem with this against a team like the Mavs. We will need full effort against the top teams. Nevermind we were short handed and played guys that normally don't play.

Okafor and 2nd round pick to Nets for Booker. Really a no brainer move by the Nets, who are just looking to get any form of younger talent with upside as they can.

Danny Ainge decided to open the Gordon Hayward returns this season conversation for some reason.

Danny Ainge decided to open the Gordon Hayward returns this season conversation for some reason. The reason I believe being the team's proximity to winning a title. They're one healthy Gordon Hayward away from being a legit contender.

The only thing is the 76ers declined Okafors option. He will be a free agent next year. Not a bad move, but if he leaves next year they won't have got much either. It will be fun to see what he does. He should get plenty of playingtime.

That was quite possibly the worst officiated half I’ve ever seen.

That was quite possibly the worst officiated half I’ve ever seen. I'm absolutely DONE with this f*cking game after the last no call on Smart on that last play, it was ridiculous. Screw these refs.

Horford has been straight-up embarrassed by Aldridge all night in the post.

I couldn't watch or listen, just used ESPN Gamecast. Wondering if watching it that way matched reality. Looked like Smart and Horford and Morris has pretty dreadful nights....Irving, Brown, Rozier and Tatum just not quite enough. Close - but no cigar....

Wow, that shot was halfway down. That shot not going in was pure evil, seriously. The play was beautiful drawn up, it worked, Kyrie got a fantastic shot, he put up a good one and the ball refused to go in. Just one of those nights, but man it was a great game. Even when this team loses it doesn't feel bad.

Read somewhere that statistically the C's have about a 30% chance of getting the Lakers pick. I will take that. The C's are due some luck from the lottery and the draft has what they need.
Is it just me or does the bottom of the league look different this year? Yes there is Chicago but the rest of them seem to be capable of finishing anywhere from 2-16 except maybe for Atlanta. The 2 bottom teams in the west, Sac and Dallas just went almost 500 over there past 10 games each, 9-11. Just seems like there are lots of teams that could approach a 500 record or win 25 or fewer.

Horford has been straight-up embarrassed by Aldridge all night in the post. That's not surprising. When he was with the Trailblazers his post play carried that team. Unleashed by the Spurs after Leonard's injury, he's doing the same in San Antonio.

Missed the game last night, were the C's that good defensively or did the Pistons have one of those nights?

Missed the game last night, were the C's that good defensively or did the Pistons have one of those nights? It was a mix of both. Pistons couldn't buy a shot for like 6 mins into the game at times, and guys like Tatum had some nice block shots. The difference in the last game and this one is that the Celtics rebounded the ball better against Detroit this time around. They couldn't contain Drummond last time and this time, he had a off night.

They probably will need to stop either him or Embiid come playoff time.

A Celtics team without Hayward and Kyrie, is a bad Celtics team that can't beat a horrible team like the Bulls.

Love Tatum and Brown, but they are not ready for the big time. This is obviously not a knock on them, but being a little more realistic on where they are on their development. They're fine on support, but expect them to take over a game and you're toast.

It was a great learning experience for those two players. Still surprised that we have yet to see Tatum take over a game or even really try too. I keep waiting for the switch to go on like it did at Duke after the first 10 games or so. He just seems to be playing within the system, never trying to create for himself.
I want to complain about the D, but they played the whole bench. So they get a pass. Lou Williams would have been great for a game like this.😁
