Lebron playing like 50 minutes activates cheat code mode with less than 2 to go, I quit the NBA lol.

Clearly LeBron James can't win this series on his own. Don't know what I was thinking.

Despite LeBron's performance - Celtics 56% on free throws, Horford 2 for 8 for 6 points in 37 minutes, nothing from Baynes.
See ya in Boston.

He could barely play in game 5 bc he was so tired starting in the first quarter then he plays this game. He’s such a fraud. An amazingly talented and dominant fraud but still a fraud

Seriously, you give up a thousand second chance points, you turn the ball over, you can't get the ball below the goddamn FT line and you can't hit FTs on top of it all. And yet it takes Lebron to hit all sorts of ridiculous shots playing damn nearly every minute in the game and yet you only lose by 10.
Clean it up and take game 7.

The problem is we are down to one winner takes all game in the NBA and LeBron James is on the other team. Furthermore, we don’t have anyone who can even dream of taking over a game and doing the same thing. Like someone such as Kyrie.
Add: this doesn’t mean the Celtics aren’t going to win, it just means it’s hardly a given despite the game being at home.

going to be the optimist again - did any of us believe we would be HERE? Game 7 at Boston with a very young team without Haywood or Irving, taking on LeBron for all the marbles (and the chance to go up against GS or Hou?). I am just relishing the ride.
I listened a bit to Adam Jones 98.5 after the game - he was in true asshole mode last night, crapping all over Stevens because he said "he was proud of his team for staying in it, coming back and making it a game".
Just reinforced how sports radio is pretty indescribable in its babble!
Sunday will be fun no matter what - and agonizing no matter what!

Sports talk has always been the lowest of the low, but they’ve had to step up (and I mean down) their game because they have to compete with so many other platforms. It would feel like a kick in the you know where if they blow this series, but this season has been an unquestionable success. They can feasibly bring this entire roster back plus Theis, Hayward, and Kyrie. And if Tatum takes a similar step forward next year to the step Jaylen took this year... The Warriors will obviously be the favorites until proven otherwise, but this Celtics team, as currently constructed, can truly contend next year.

Well yea, LeBron is the only reason I picked the Celtics in 7. Without him they sweep the Cavs in 4 games. At the same time the Celtics playing like crap on the road have helped LeBron. We win that game if the whole team shows up and we actually play Celtic Basketball. LeBron was great, one of the best games I've seen him play. Nailing those two very hard 3s at the end of the game was unreal after he missed like 4 straight layups. At the same time it wasn't LeBron that made us do a ton of stupid turnovers, miss FTs or not box out after a missed shot. For some reason this team doesn't play well on the road. We shot 51% from the field, but just played sloppy all game.

Why is it like a completely different game on the road than at home? It makes almost no sense. I understand being more comfortable at home, but not to the point where you win every single game at home and lose every single game on the road.

A good chance. I’m disappointed theC’s couldn’t close it out away, but with their young roster, I’m ok with that. I like their chances. They’ve dominated at TD, all postseason and especially this series. They’ve got a solid shot, and I’d say the one-game odds right now are better than most of us would’ve said pre-series. Hell, I’d say the odds are better right now than they’ve been pretty much all season, with maybe the exception of after G2 this series. Tough to ask for more.

As a shooter, if you're completely used to the sightings, as you will be in your home court, you tend to hit more of your shots.

You realize their shooting percentage in game six was amazingly good and in game 5 amazingly bad right? The sight lines may have an affect but it’s not like going from playing in an arena to a stadium like the NCAA likes to do to its players.

Honestly, even with Kyrie and Hayward to start the year this is the spot where everyone would have been happy had they lost. It was still a growing year - guys meshing. Sure they had a chance if everything went right but you couldn’t predict these seasons from Brown and Tatum and certainly couldn’t predict these playoffs. But that’s the thing from young guys, you just never know when they will breakout (if they do at all), but when the talent is there it’s always possible. Kyrie and Hayward going down was not good, but it’s quite possible (assuming they both return to form) that it’s helpful long term. Tatum and Brown have now established themselves as rising stars and guys capable of carrying a load. They’ll have instant trust of Kyrie and Gordon and it should be pretty easy for all their games to mesh like it does in Golden State.

By the way Charles Barkley picked the Celtics to win which basically rubber stamps the Cavs into the Finals
