At the very least, Lin has probably earned the bulk of the SS playing time while Xander recovers, right?

I hope Hanley does not hurt himself here. He's certainly going to try and hit one 500 feet.

It's just too easy. We're spoiled as hell this early in the season. I’m not alone, but I’ve earned this. From 1975 (when I was a new 10 year old Sox fan) until 2003 I absolutely earned a crapload of easy wins.

I can't remember who it was last year, when we first started playing the blO's, they had terrible pitching and someone mentioned that we were gonna crush their pitching because it was so bad. But we didn't. What a difference a year makes !!

That was a hell of an at bat from Lin. He’s consistently impressed me with his combination of plate discipline and bat control. That, along with his infield defense and defensive versatility (he should be able to add OF to his portfolio), gives him a high enough floor to at least be a long-term MLB utility guy. That kid is a professional hitter, just a real bonus as he's matured physically. He's also a smooth defender, effortless in his movements. He's good and fun to watch. Add: I see I'm just echoing what others have said. No surprise, right now they're hitting on all cylinders.

By the way, there are at least 3 of us older Red Sox fans in NC here including you now.

What a lazy play by both Davis and Machado.

Ok, now we just need Velasquez to get outs at this point.

I imagine Cora will give Mookie the day off tomorrow too. That will give him 2 days off in a row with a very probable rain out coming Monday.

I'd also try to get Kelly as many innings as possible before his inevitable suspension.

Left foot bruise for Mookie. Day to day most likely.

Brock Holt getting an XBH against you is considered running up the score at this point.

That was an odd way to have the first strikeout of the game.

J.D. Martinez is pretty good at this whole "hitting" thing.
