Alex Speier @alexspeier
Pedroia: ‘There will be a time when I’m out there all the time.’ He says he’s made progressive improvement, but focus is on getting a point where he can play regularly rather than a few days at a time.

According to the Sea Dogs official; Twitter account this morning, Pedey will be in the lineup today. I wouldn't want to bet against him, but right now I'd tend to agree with you

What happens if he can't play again but doesn't retire? Do the Sox just keep putting on IR until his contract runs out?

Yep. David Wright is on the Mets books for $15M tthis year, Prince Fielder for the Rangers (though not sure how much the Tigers are putting in there).

Kyri Washington just had some kind of surgery on Boston, per his social media. Said "surgery #3," but not sure if that's for this injury or not.

They have to stop using Toradol for pitchers. How that's not banned yet is ridiculous.

I forget who insisted during the offseason we should save $6.5M from a 35 year old first baseman and use it for a reliever, but you were proven correct. Though I'm not sure of the $6.5 reliever we would have gotten that would have moved the needle (which was the counter argument at the time).
