Benintendi really needs to improve against lefties. To date in his career he is a .208 hitter vs LHP and .288 vs RHP. This season he is 1 for 19, .052, with 7 K's. Something to track or we may see a few more days off for Benny. He never had pronounced splits like that in the minors or college. I think you need to let him play through it and figure it out.

I'm aware it's a small sample of MLB data. That's why I think we need to track it to see if adjustments are made or it's just white noise.

It's too early to be concerned about anything related to the last 3 games offensively. They were scorching hot and have cooled. I hope it isn't a streaky offense, that may work against our outstanding pitching staff and defense, which appear to be a real strong suit. Just consistency should get us where we want to be.

Mookie!
“Watching” on Gameday. Did Sanchez just throw behind Benintendi?

Is Mookie the best lead off hitter in baseball? Great hitter who has wheels and is good on the bases.

Mookie is 24 or 25 and own the Red Sox record for leadoff homeruns. That is incredible.

Mookie is 24 and own the Red Sox record for leadoff homeruns. That is incredible. he'll never catch Ricky Henderson, but 2nd (53) all time could be in reach, if he stays in leadoff for 10 years.

I kinda want Nunez to take that awesome throw and actually apply the tag.

Devers makes a awesome play and makes the worst throw ever.

At first glance I thought Nunez screwed the pooch, but that was a nice slide.

Devers makes a awesome play and makes the worst throw ever. Yeah, it's ridiculous that a worse 3B wouldn't have made that error because he wouldn't have reached it.

At first glance I thought Nunez screwed the pooch, but that was a nice slide. It was a good slide but the throw beat him by so much, I want the second baseman to make an athletic play to get the out. He was badly unbalanced when he was turning to make the tag. But no question it was a well played slide.

Plenty of good seats still available at Rogers Centre for tonight's game. Frauds.

Sanchez is tough. Runs are going to be hard again to come by.

Eduardo is going to have to be really good in this game if he wants a chance of winning it. Right now the lineup is putting one or two rallies in the past 4 games.
