Watching Vazquez hit really leaves a lot to be desired. Swihart needs to catch more tan either Vaz or Leon

Bad day to be a worm in Atlanta - steady parade of roll-over grounders from both teams. Which offense will figure things out first???

I’m gunna go out on a limb and say the Braves may have a keeper in Toussaint. Yikes. Nasty.

It's a bats optional day when heading for the plate. Wow. Even JDM has gone cold in the power dept - 1 HR in last 14 games

Not how they should be playing in September. What an ugly few weeks of baseball.

Offense has been a god damn joke for two weeks.

Well, at least Eovaldi won't see another at bat with his pitch count rising.
Edit- Eovaldi might not even make it out of the 4th.

1 run might be too much for this offense to overcome.

I'd debate to walk Swanson to get to the pitcher's spot if I'm Cora. I'd take a chance on the pitcher not being able to make contact. There goes Eovaldi.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing us get no hit today. Might be a rock bottom wake up call?

I don’t know about that hook. I might stick with Eovaldi through 4. But... hard to complain.
So weird an outting. On the one hand, really only one solidly hit ball. On the other, can’t make it out of the fourth. Is it possible to dominate and suck at the same time?

The pitching staff is a hot mess. The offense is a hot mess.
Not good heading into the playoffs.

Workman didn't mean to walk Swanson, but he did. Pitcher made contact, but it worked. I wish NL rules were easier for offenses. This is brutal to watch teams struggle to score because of non optimal offensive lineups.

He got out of it, but it was luck rather than much else.
That two out pitch was a meatball right down the middle for Acuna. Honestly, should have been 4-0 on that pitch.

Squander by Braves! Now for some bats.
Not watching on TV now but via GameDay that last pitch to Acuna looked like it was about as dead center in the zone as can be. I'm guessing that wasn't where the glove was.

Here we go, Stephen Wright in his first test of high leverage coming up. He's warming and he'll be coming in with the pinch hitter coming. This is very interesting for me at least.

Honestly, I'm not sure how you can put Sandy Leon on the playoff roster if Vazquez is healthy.
At this point the only argument for it is the David Price effect.

Boy, I'm glad I didn't see the last page worth of posts with people rooting for us to get no-hit and saying our offense is dead before we scored a bunch of runs; I would've been annoyed. As it is, it's just funny.

As it is, it's just funny. Our offense had been dead before we scored 3 runs though. Besides the one guy rooting for a no-hitter against, everything said was just factual.

Lol the Braves just had to face 100 mph Eovaldi. Now try to hit a knuckleball. Just awesome stuff.
