Are we arguing over whether or not Brady is even better than the best of all-time? What a waste of time. No he's not perfect, yes he's the best ever. What else is there? Lol... it’s not even about that... some people just don’t like it when certain mistakes are pointed out. It’s taboo around here to say Brady is ever less than perfect. I’m moving in and going back to my quest to get Dante Scarnecchia into the HOF.

Beasley....I haven't argued the competition is worse....I have argued that the people charged with beating them have failed miserably. You can claim that is because on the greatness of the Patriots, and you very well may be right. I think that other franchises have been historically bad at the leadership needed to complete with them and that is a point of consideration when looking at the success, in a macro fashion. I'll say this...if owned or ran a franchise, I would create a separate, paid division of personnel whose only task is reviewing every decision they make. Jerry, the end of the 4th quarter is pretty much what you are talking about. KC got the ball with 3:26 left and down 3. If that’s the Patriots they are starting off running the ball to run the clock down as much as possible. The Patriots would be playing that as the last possession of the game. They do this ALL the time. Watch any end of half or game possession and they set it up, basically trading time and even plays to get that clock down. All they needed was a FG to tie the game. Instead they scored too quickly. You can maybe argue the Patriots did right after that but it’s different when you need a TD. They tried to run clock but you need to first get into the end zone.

So moving on.... the Rams were the second worst team in the league covering Tight Ends.... are we about to get an epic Gronk game? I’m feeling pretty good about this game, even though the Rams are really talented. The Patriots are often at their best when they play elite teams, and sometimes play down to their competition when they play lesser playoff teams. The Patriots are on a roll lately, and really should’ve blown the Chiefs out if it were not for that really bad INT in the endzone.

That miami loss was super flukey though... I was thinking today the Patriots look really good for an 11-5 team. Then I remembered, they really should’ve been 12-4 and a 1 seed, its a better reflection of how good they are.

Then I remembered, they really should’ve been 12-4 and a 1 seed, its a better reflection of how good they are. There are two key points in time for this team’s turn around: 1. Bye week. The defense has been a whole new defense since the bye week. 2. After Miami. The offense and Brady have been completely different since the Miami game. Maybe Brady is health related but he’s not bailing out on throws like he had been. He’s stepping into them and driving thru like the guy we expect. It’s been even better in the playoffs after the week off and after he worked with his throwing coach. I think there was a health issue with his knee that the bye especially solved. Gronk has also stepped things up. That could be health or effort (one last run?) related.

I just have to say for the 1000th time in my life that they should move the damn Super Bowl to Saturday. It solves the problem of the entire world being exhausted and doing nothing at work on Monday. They have two freaking weeks to prepare so it's not like they'd be forcing the teams to play with short rest.
Get rid of the off week as well. I don't care about the Pro Bowl at all and didn't watch it or even look at the score.
My gf who is a Pats fan has to get up at 4:45 AM on Monday. Uggh for her.

I would have been happy with no bye weeks for Belichicks tenure as he’d have a bigger advantage on teams. The game should be Sunday, but Monday should be a national holiday.

I believe one important factor in all of this is momentum. Last year I was excited when the Eagles beat up on the Vikings. I thought Minnesota was a much more difficult matchup (scary d, what I thought was a better qb). However I totally underestimated the power of momentum and confidence with Philadelphia. Whereas the Patriots had barely squeezed by Jacksonville, Philly had rolled Minnesota in Minnesota. There’s a certain confidence there you just can’t coach up.
I am still baffled at how the Eagles beat us last year. Nick Foles, while a good quarterback, played out of his mind. He played pretty close to flawlessly. If he had played last year like he had in this year’s saints playoff game, the Patriots would have blown em out.
I say all this because I feel like New England has a lot of momentum heading into this game. Save for the Brady Mahomes matchup, the Patriots thoroughly outplayed the Chiefs in every regard. I can’t say the same about the Saints-Rams. I thought NO was the better team last weekend. It will be interesting to see if there is any carryover in play from last week.

I’ve lost all my confidence. I always feel better watching Brady take the field and Bill on the sidelines. Reminds me we’re in good hands. I feel the same way with the C’s about this Kyrie and AD stuff. Danny won’t let us down!
