Xander with a runner on third with less than 2 outs this series- 0-3 with ZERO RBIs. COME ON DUDE. For the season, he has a 193 wRC+ with runners in scoring position. If he always hit the way people wanted around here, this would be a video game not reality. He’s hitting worst with the bases empty this year.

Moreland is donzo. Dude missed a hanging slider. If April Mitch Moreland got that pitch it would have gone 400 ft

Our boys are trying to get all them pop ups out of their system in the regular season so when come up playoffs time we'll be spraying ropes all over the field. Bold strategy!

Eck and DOB need to look at exit velocities more. They said Andujar’s double was ripped (81mph) and Judge got robbed in the first on his rip (89 mph) and then they said Benintendi popped to center in the first (103 mph).

I hope those people that think this series is meaningless are happy right now. Boston's dominant sweep in early August doesn't seem to be carrying over to this series (which is a third finished, FYI) as of yet, so what makes you think this series will have ANY impact on a potential playoff meeting...?? I’m not sure how its lost on people that Oakland would be a much easier draw than NYY and beating them this series would have gone a long way to helping make that happen.

Xander has been having a career year, no doubt, but you can't come up empty there without driving in a run at least twice in those series of at bats. I'm glad I'm being forced to GAMEDAY this game at work.

Benintendi's pounding so many balls right into the dirt...sad to see his loss of power after that really encouraging stretch he went on when Betts was injured

I’m not sure how its lost on people that Oakland would be a much easier draw than NYY and beating them this series would have gone a long way to helping make that happen. Assuming this was even on your mind when you made your first post - this is not the NBA. The better team and the home team are not locks. No matter where the WC game is played it will be a toss up. And no matter who the Red Sox face in the first round they will be facing a a very good and capable team. The series will come down to who is playing well at that moment. It's baseball and it's the same every year... All you can do is get in and give yourself a chance. Boston has done so - they're going to win the division and go to the playoffs and have home field throughout. If you think that's such an insurmountable factor you should be leading the cries of insignificance for this series... Nothing matters until game 1 - period. It's how Boston plays that day and beyond. If you're worried about facing your boss tomorrow after a NYY win, tell him to F off and that this game means nothing, that he's still ten games back and has to win a coin flip game 163 to even be relevant in your universe. It's the truth...

This whole series has just been a classic nightmare where the Sox can't score in optimal situations and the Yankees are hitting homeruns over that stupid RF wall. This series means absolutely nothing, but I hate losing to these guys in the worst ways. I chose not to post a lot in a Yankee series because I don't want my frustrations boiling over here

You've got to be f'ing kidding me.
Three home runs 343 feet or less in this game.
