The day before the season starts. Three ,quote, expert sites have the pats going 12-4 and losing in the conference champ. Anyone want to give their expert opinion on a projection? Looks like a reasonable forecast. I am concerned about the o line. A rookie playing LT. And some other new people. But Bill has worked his magic for a long time. Probably start out 1-3, finish 13-3 with another Super Bowl. The usual suspects will start panicking by week 2.

Antonio Brown is a cancer to any team. If he doesn't get enough targets, he will have a melt down. Can you imagine him talking back to BB? Benched forever. LMAO at the Antonio Brown saga. Stay classy NFL players. You don't think Gruden has the same amount of credibility as BB? I'm not sure how Al Davis died and the Raiders are still the same exact same stupid mf'ing team. I hope Brown loses his entire contract. What a waste.

I wonder how much it would cost the Raiders in dead money if they release him. Maybe Migel can figure it out. It might even be cheaper to hold on to him, but inactivate him every week. That way he can't play for anybody this year. Hang on to him but fine the hell out of him.
I don't like the Steelers, but they did alright in that trade. I read a quote by some coach that said "we're all whores to talent." That's about right.
I've always liked Mike Maylock. He's doing what's best for his team. He's the good guy here.

Antonio Brown is an absolute imbecile. Don't know if he was hit in the head too much or if he wasn't hit enough, something is clearly off with this dude.

He asked for his release after he was fined 200k which voided the guranteed money on his deal. Saying he won't play without that. Yet given how f-ing crazy he has been the past month plus, no team will give him that. I can see some desperate team taking a chance on him at some point, but it is likely a low money prove it deal. The guy needs some help, this screams mental breakdown!

12-4 is a solid projection, you just never know about injuries. Yet I'd go 13-3, with a chance at 14-2. This is a deep team that doesn't have many issues.
Last year Brady had Dorsett and Hogan as his WRs for the first four weeks. Heck Meyers looked better so far this year than those guys did the same time last year. Now Brady actually seems to trust and have a bond with Dorsett that took most of last year to form. Add in Edelman, Gordon, Thomas, and Meyers. Best RB depth in a long time. Heck even OT now has two Vets with game experience after the trades. Really leaving TE as the big question mark, yet we still have many more weapons than last year.

Jonathan Jones is getting a new contract. Many, including me expected this to be his last year here. Can’t wait to see terms. I’m sure the team knew they were close when they decided to move on from Dawson. Locking up a good young slot corner is nice.
3 year extension so they have him for this season and 3 more. Still waiting on money.

The Raiders ended up spending about $200k, a 3rd and a 5th on Brown... nothing that hurts them.

Injury aside, they should be good now. ST and even safety flexibility helps too. Happy for him.

3 years 21m is super team friendly. Wonder if it tears up this year or tacks on 3 more.

The highest paid slot CB is Young who signed a 3 year 25.8 million extension. So 3 years 21 million is closer to market rate than super team friendly deal.
Edit: Old article, a few days latter Coleman got 4 years 36 million, but it's a back loaded deal with an out after two years 18 million.

Brown is coming to New England... holy mother.. wow 🤯 omg wow wow wow. Well if anyone can keep him in check, it's Bill Belichick. I hope he talked to him and asked if he is able to STFU and only worry about winning the Super Bowl while he's with them.

Wow! We now have the most talented and troubled WR group in the NFL. I love the player, but he just went full on crazy. Like others have said, how will he respond to getting a few targets in games? He won't get his normal 10 plus a game as a Patriot.

... He won't get his normal 10 plus a game as a Patriot. Maybe. Maybe not. But either way it looks like we won't be morphing into a Ground and Pound offense anytime soon. Unless we want to. That's a sh*t ton of talent on offense. Block line. Block.

I hope that he has enough time to learn the offense. If nothing else it'd be a nice distraction for the opposing defenses.

Belated birthday present for Tommy. Sort of like the Moss deal. Moss was a diva in Oakland, but straightened out here. Maybe they'll have Moss talk to him. If he can't play for BB, he can't play anywhere. I wonder how they'll handle their salary cap. Somebody gets restructured. McCourty? Release a vet? They must have figured it out already.
Right now I'm in shock. Head swimming, etc.

This is a pretty gobsmacking turn of events.
Our local football team has seemingly gone and embrassed an all encompassing heel-turn.
It reminds me of the wrestling group NWO's bad-assery in the 90s era WCW.
Hmm...

I can't imagine that BB hasn't had "the Talk" with Brown before making this commitment and is satisfied that the message was received and understood. I've heard Brown has some kind of relationship with Brady so that should help if true since he has to know how Brady approaches things. Do they cut a receiver and if it's Jakobi Meyers he will be gone which they might regret going forward.

They have to cut a receiver but it won’t be until after this game so we will see... maybe someone gets “injured”... my guess is it’s Gunner since he was clearly the last one in but when he takes a return to the house that will be hard to do

Lol, Kyrie Irving looks like a gentleman compared to his situation with the Celtics versus Antonio Brown though. I'm sure people won't see it that way on here.
