Well at least if they let the delay go 3 hours, they don't play tomorrow.

Hopefully no delay. When a team plays as bad as the Mariners did today, it's a crap game to watch no matter what the outcome.

Brasier is warming so nevermind. Cora will stick him, even if he doesn't deserve it this year.

lol,to the "hard working crew". I'm guessing that most people with 8 hour labor jobs would trade places.

They need to call this game, someone's gonna get hurt. I cringe watching JDM chase down balls on that grass. It's just asking for a groin pull After this half inning, I’d consider bringing in JBJ to center and moving Pearce to the OF.

The Mariners pitcher can't grip the baseball. This is stupid.

Xander's walk rate in 2018 was 9.5%. Up to 12.4% now. Mookie 13.2% 16.0% Devers 7.8% 10.8% Vazquez 4.8% 7.6% Leon 5.2% 9.4% Even JBJ has gone from 8.6% to 11.3% And Chavis has started out at 16.9%. They are walking at a pretty insane pace. They have 9 players with a BB rate over 10% and are 3rd in MLB at 10.9% and rising. I should redo this post now after 5 more walks, 8 today. Xander has 4.

What, does the ump feel like spending more time out in the rain? Call the strike.

If Josh Smith can retire the side before giving up 6 more hits, does this game set the franchise record for most consecutive games with fewer than 10 hits allowed?

He was warming at the time, so I don't know what to tell you. Why doesn't he deserve to come into a 4 run game? I would avoid Brasier in high leverage until he proves it, 4 run lead isn't that high of leverage. So probably not a big deal.

3 games out of first!
Seattle is a terrible team. They're 5-19 vs teams > .500 and 15-4 vs others. Red Sox swept them outscoring them 34-8 in 3 games.

Nice to see Chavis reverse his slide. Its a different team when he is in the lineup and hitting. Rafi absolutely killing it.

Cora. Does not like to do defensive substitutions, even in blowout games.
On a positive note ... I recall previous years when Mirabelli was not used as DH cuz if Varitek got hurt, the team would lose the DH. But Cora used Nunez as DH, even though an infield injury would force them to lose the DH. Cora is showing potential.
