Most of the best arms in the system are struggling to generate swings and misses. Obviously working on things and refining pitches, but to me it feels like they should be winning more 1 on 1 battles in the minors.
The average Top 130 pitcher on Fangraphs averages 13.5% SwStr%, some of the best being 22% Liberatore, 17% McKay, 16% Gore, 15% Cease, 14% Mize, 14% Whitley

Marco Hernandez was moved up to Pawtucket, Marcus Wilson was demoted to Salem. So who gets moved out of CF, Wilson or Duran? Gotta be Wilson.

More small moves:
Josh Tobias from Pawtucket to Portland (Had a .604 OPS in his first taste of AAA). Kevin Biondic from Lowell to Greenville.

He made the MLB pipeline: MLB Pipeline Verified account @mlbpipeline Pitching to #RedSox No. 10 prospect Jarren Duran doesn't seem like a good idea. Duran just hit his second homer of the year, is batting .413 and has a 10-game hitting streak for @salemredsox. Here's how all redsox prospects are performing:

Pretty long rain delay in Salem, Duran's HR might have just been for fun.

Pretty long rain delay in Salem, Duran's HR might have just been for fun. Nah, they'd suspend the game, different rules than MLB. I suppose if they couldn't finish for some reason it would get wiped out.

I suppose if they couldn't finish for some reason it would get wiped out. Wasn't there a Dalbec HR not counted last year ? I suppose it's early enough in the season that there would likely be continued. The CAR league lead in OPS hangs in the balance. Haha I was noticing he even trots fast. Edit game resumed. Bazardo in for Crawford.

Any speculation that Duran might be promoted today ?
(Not because of the HR, because a center fielder (Wilson) was just demoted from Portland)

Durbin with a clean inning lowering his era to 7.20. Perhaps he has found himself and will be a force later on. Yesterday ?

Eduard Bazardo with another four shutout innings with 6 Ks and no walks. In four May appearances, he's thrown 12 innings, struck out 21 and hasn't allowed a walk or earned run. For the year his ERA is now 0.97, with 36 strikeouts, 5 walks, 16 hits in 29 2/3. He's 23 but he also got assigned to Salem after only spending 28 innings in Greenville. Since the start of last year he has 120 strikeouts and 13 walks. And he's not Michael Kopech, but he throws harder than some of the guys who you see putting up absurd K:BB ratios in the low-to-mid minors.

To be fair, Duran’s HR was aided by a strong wind blowing out to center. They all count.
