Eduardo Lopez is in the lineup for the DSL Red Sox 1 team, hitting third and playing CF. And 0-1 with a K. Bust. Meanwhile Gonzalez hit a sac fly in his AB. In my mind's eye, it was a towering shot to the warning track, just missing homer #3 Daza is 1-1.

Eduardo Lopez has been pinch hit for in the 3rd at bat. Maybe he's injured and they're taking it slow with him (didn't play the 1st game).

Walked Gonzalez the next two times. If that’s what they’re doing intentionally then maybe the GCL is next

They should move Chavis out of LF to make room for Gonzalez.

I assume Sox Prospects is conducting an interal review and firings for failing to list him as a top 60 prospect.

Gonzalez has a batting average higher than his OBP because of the SF. .800/.778/2.800 3.578 OPS

Clearly this guy Gonzalez is a beast of a human, and he’s young. How exactly is he not in the top 60? Clearly his ceiling his higher than some of these top 60 relievers I read about without one above average pitch

Clearly his ceiling his higher than some of these top 60 relievers I read about without one above average pitch Because the staff here haven't laid eyes on the guy...and typically for an international signee to be ranked they need to have a really strong pedigree (e.g., make MLB's top 30 international prospects list) or indicator of pedigree (e.g., signing bonus over $1M). Also, its been 2 games, albeit very exciting ones. Still though, I wouldn't expect dramatic movement for a guy in the DSL until he comes stateside and specifically after some of the staff here have seen someone in person which often happens for the first time at Fall Instructs. Thats not to say that Gonzalez isn't a beast....maybe he is....its just hard to say without seeing the guy.

For all we know he hasn't even seen a curve ball yet and will end up never being able to hit one.

Movement around the minors: Keith Curcio from Portland to Salem. Sciortino off the IL and Lucena moved to Lowell.

Salem went from an excess of outfielders to a shortage of center fielders. Marcus Wilson was ejected rather fast, must have said something about the umps mom or something. Since the DH is an outfielder, Kutter might get an AB or two. I hope he bats faster than he pitches.
EDIT: Curcio was on the bench.
