So if I joked that the Rays signed Gau out of The Veldt, would anyone get the reference?

I mean if you have to Google it, then you almost certainly don't get it, right?

Brainer with only a double his first ab.
Catcher Marcano is also an interesting kid.... decent bonus and doing well in his average (though poorer K/BB ratio)

That's funny because actually he did steal third.

I mean if you have to Google it, then you almost certainly don't get it, right? It's such a different world out there from even when 25 year olds were kids. My youngest started 4th grade, private school so a laptop and pocket wifi were required. 4 people family, we now have 6 devices and 4 separate internet connections. My 6th grader, doing her homework using Google speak sometimes in Tagalog, sometimes in English. Makes you wonder what life could possibly be like for families 20 years from now.

That's funny because actually he did steal third. I hadn't brought up the box score yet but remembered he did that a few days ago.

He's already tied for fourth in the system in steals. On the one hand, DSL stats are obviously crazy and anyone who is fast and has a good sense of timing should be able to steal pretty much at will. On the other, he's in his 13th game and is 1/3 of the way to the most steals I can find a DSL Sox player having - Margot and Wilfredo Pichardo both nabbed 33.

DSL records don’t mean much but just off the top of my head Gonzalez and/or Feliz are probably going to break the Sox HR record and Bonaci will probably break the SB record.
Also, Devers seems to be the fastest out of the DSL that I can see at a quick glance at 28 games and 104 ABs. So that should be the absolute floor of anyone moving up and that’s still really fast. Bonaci, Gonzalez, etc are having great starts, but they don’t have the pedigree of Devers. I doubt you’ll see them move stateside anytime soon.
EDIt: Forgot about Flores.

How do all the signals not mess with each other? The broadband available is not enough to run all the computers from 4th thru 6th grades as a school which is about 120 students total. Pocket wifi is a sim and router and you need to set it up at home where there aren't 120 other possible connections. Once it's set up the computer finds the signal like any other wifi connection. At home I run my second PC off a router from my first. I can see about 5 other unknown connections in the area but once it was set up, I don't need to go through all the possible connections. ADD: They could do it wired like an internet cafe but I'm pretty sure you can see the downside of attempting that. In Davao city where there are fiber optic cables, I imagine they could handle it but there are no cables other than electric cables on small islands, not even telephone land lines.

Chris Owings aka Caucasian Eduardo Nunez
Maybe they can get him back to 2016-2017 form but I’m not holding my breath

Annnd Tanner Houck just walked his second RHB for the season. He faced 117 RH hitters and Jose Azocar is the 2nd one to get a base on balls.

Northcut went 2/5 lowering his BA to .471. He had a triple. Of his 8 hits, he has 4 doubles and a triple and is now slashing .471/.500/.824/1.324. Only 1 walk but 5K's in 17 ABs.
