and Cora brings in Nunez so the Jays can swap a struggling left handed pitcher for a fresh right handed pitcher!
edit: well the guy they are bringing in is a lefty anyway, but still i never want to see Nunez

Someone chain Nunez to the bench so that Cora is not tempted. If the message board had a feature to give another post some kind of “super like” I’d use that feature on this post.

Montoyo is a genius. Pitching change - Cora brings in Nunez.

Alex Cora is goofing on us. On the whole world. Seriously. I’m not watching Nunez pinch hit with loaded bases.

Montoya is a genius. Pitching change - Cora brings in Nunez. Sounds like a logic statement. "Therefore Cora is not a genius"

Can DD take Nunez out of Cora's quiver?

it's actually hard to believe how Cora uses Nunez so much. And he can't hit, so we get a bad result at the plate and get to put up with his bad defense for the rest of the game too. is there a legitimate explanation for this nonsense?

What a turnaround.
Chavis looked helpless for two straight pitches, then tater.

It’s a good thing the Jays are awful and the Red Sox offense is still a juggernaut. Depends now what the bullpen can do.

Now it's up to our BP. At least we know Barnes is rested.

So many squanders in this game. Putrid.

overall their hitting has been good enough,. While situational hitting has been bad - but they have one of the top offenses in baseball. Overall the way they've hit - they are contender. The way they've pitched -- they aren't. Even Cora admits their stats look good, but are deceiving...not getting it done in key spots. Way too many squanders I think he said that a while ago. If he said it recently, he's wrong. Just like he's wrong with his love for Nunez. The offense while not as great as last year and at times when he said it early he was right-- but it hasn't been that way for a while. Devers and Vaz and Xander and Chavis and the late pickup hittign of JBJ has made his comment from a while ago no longer relevant. These guys have picked up the lesser hitting of Betts, JDM and Beni. And Betts and JDM are pretty darn good too. The squanders are not relevant vs the pitching. If they got pretty good decent picthing the squanders wouldn't be felt. Because of the poor pitching vs last year it's put this team in a lousy position.

Red Sox offense is pretty much exactly where it should be without Mookie and JDM hitting like Babe Ruth.

I would say who gets the 9th, but we have to make sure there is a 9th.
