Konnor Wade is making his AAA debut today. He had made it as high as AA with the Rockies before going to Indy ball and then Portland.

While we're making song puns, I really hope when the 4th rounder signs he follows Zeferjahn in the rotation.

I'm in total awe by what Brainer Bonaci is doing as a 16 year old in the DSL.

It’s not like this guy is physically advanced for the level like a Bryan Gonzalez or a Danny Diaz is 16 year old aren't supposed to almost have as many walks as strikeouts in their first taste of professional baseball. That's an insane level of discipline and contact.

Long time lurker, first time poster.
How unusual is what's going on down in the DSL with Brainer, the HR hitters? Be interested to know if anyone has done any analysis on it?
Appreciate they are a world away from the show but always exciting to know if they're doing something that's not been done before.

Are hrs. rampant throughout the DSL or are we cornering the market with good scouting?

LOVE the Buzzcocks, and that's one of my favorites. And if you're a prospect follower, the answer to that question is a definitive, YES! You have fallen in love with someone you shouldn't have fallen in love with.

I'm officially reserving my seat on the Bonaci Bandwagon. For me, it's a, ahem, No-Brainer.

You have fallen in love with someone you shouldn't have fallen in love with. Yes and both were bullpen arms... Cla Meredith and Craig Hansen. The break ups were so bad I've sworn off minor league relievers. When it comes to position players Xander, Devers and I are already house hunting in the suburbs and weighing the quality of school districts.

Zeferjahn strikes out three in the first inning again. This time, he works around a leadoff single and a HBP.

Darwinzon Hernandez throws a scoreless inning in relief with 1 K, no hits, and no walks. Threw 8 out of 14 pitches for strikes.

Jfb I'm not sure others in follow-up took your comment seriously but I did. I'm glad you raised the issue and welcome to posting!💪 First, it's not the baseballs. That's AAA. It's pretty easy to see what's happening when you compare to their contemporaries. There are 45 teams so, about 1350 players. HRs There are only 8 players with 5 or more HRs. (DSL parks are usually fairly symmetric with deep chain link fences. If you were to Google Earth the fields, you would see it. I'm guessing that inside the parkers are more common than most leagues. The leader has 7. Feliz is second with 6. There are 5 with 5 including Gonzalez. The numbers this year don't seem to be out of line with history. On Brainer, he's 23rd in the league in batting average 41 points below the qualified leader, in OBP, he's 42nd 85 points below the qualified leader.
