Nixson Munoz with another six shutout innings in the DSL today. Only one strikeout today, but he's at 34 Ks in 26 1/3, and only two walks. 5'9"-5'10" lefty from Nicaragua. First Nicaraguan signing by the Sox since they got Roniel Raudes and Jhosmar Cortez in 2014.

There are no qualified CAR hitters with an OPS over .860

Perhaps I missed it but I haven't seen Trey Ball for any number of games. Any word? He was placed on the Greenville Injured List! There is a maximum number of players you can have in the GCL, so this is a paper move allowing them to expand the GCL roster while Ball is out. |

Acceptable at Single-A, sure. He's definitely earned a promotion back to Portland but I'm going to wait to be excited about him until he performs there. |

Then you should feel that way about anybody since he's leading the organization's entire minor leagues with over 200 plate appearances, in OPS including his Portland time (.871), a few ticks above Casas. |
