Cashner just isn't very good. This is just what baseball is now. If they don't fix the baseball I won't be watching many more years. It's garbage. Every bad pitch- is a home run and every great pitch can also be a home run. It doesn't even matter who the pitcher is.

Well, just got in from evening on the beach...looked at the box. Looks like vintage 2019 Sox.

Well, the Sox have a 4.81 team ERA....before tonight....'good' for 21st in baseball.....
Apparently 20 other teams are having better success against the hyped up ball.
Yankees have played 3 games less than Sox and have scored only 5 fewer runs, so our lead in that stat is tenuous at best. Minnesota is only 12 runs back with 3 games in hand.

Every single mistake is a HR even against the fucking Royals.

So sick of seeing our crappiness blamed on everything but our team's crappy play. Weak sauce

Houston, NYY, TB, and Oakland would have throttled this KC team if in our position. They would have swept them and embarrassed them.

Exactly what Frdd Lynn said. Every mistake is a HR. Last year, that didn't happen.

Eddie Romero would look real nice in charge of making trades and player movement as well as development.

As far as I can tell, there is absolutely no skill in suppressing home runs anymore and it's the only thing that matters in pitching. So good luck predicting anything.

Growing up, there would be exactly zero Red Sox fans who act like they do today after winning a World Series. Fucking entitled spoiled brats.

Exactly what Frdd Lynn said. Every mistake is a HR. Last year, that didn't happen. But Sox pitchers must be making more mistakes than others, if that is the case. Whatever. I’ve seen glorious things in the last fifteen years with the Sox, and this ain’t the worst. Just one of those years. Truthfully I prefer to get as much bad mojo out at once as possible.

I mean what skill do Royals pitchers have tonight when the Red Sox have missed about 12 home runs on pitches right down the middle?

Every bad pitch- is a home run and every great pitch can also be a home run. It doesn't even matter who the pitcher is. Verlander said he use to be able to miss barrels and get away with a pitch that was hit. Now he says he has to miss bats. Think about a third of the hits he gave up at the All Star break were HR's? If so, that's ridiculous and we're talking one of the best in the game.

thanks for some big moments and some decent production from Moreland over the years, but it will be good to be able to move on from him and Pearce this offseason and try to find a new answer at first base. Ditto for Holt at utility man, which I think Marco should handle fine.
