Agreed. Seems like remember the organization was against one ever happening. bucholz was always made of glass moreso than was Ells and what good would have come out of it? Boy the last few years Ells has been paper mache. We gave the Yankees a poison pill. When I saw, on video, Duran leg out a double, I was amazed at his speed. Envisioning even more from Jimenez..."measurably faster" is hard, but joyous, to conceive. Arrived in Portland yesterday so I am hopeful to get to a couple of games. Make note of how he rounds the bases. Amazingly sharp with little lost motion. Looking forward to the reports on everyone.

Since June 1, Erasmo Ramirez has throw 70 innings with a 3.34 ERA, is .226/.287/.387, 51K, only 20 BB. A little bit of BABIP luck (.250), but he's been pretty decent and he can eat innings. He's not **the answer** but at this point I think I see whether they can get lucky on a guy who might be better than Cashner/Johnson/Velazquez anyway. Anyway, now that I've posted that Toledo will light him up for nine runs in 2 1/3. I think he’s an absolute tater machine at the major league level. He frightens me with MLB caliber hitters now playing with juiced balls For what it's worth, they're using the MLB ball at AAA too. (If anyone was wondering how the lively ball plays in the already hitter friendly PCL, old friend Mauricio Dubon has a .291/.332/.466 line in that league, and that works out to roughly ten percent worse than league average.)

What's striking about Duran is that he can take those tight turns at his size. He's 6'2", listed 200 and I wouldn't be surprised if it's closer to 215. He's like a safety out there.

Jimenez is faster than Duran in terms of a sprint. Both can fly..

While that’s very true they are for the most part AAA caliber hitters. The last couple times Erasmo has been allowed to pitch in the majors he has been pieced up

How about this: Jimenez is probably faster to 1B, Duran probably a better baserunner?
By the way, REALLY weird that Jimenez doesn't run. 9/12 on steals. I presume they're working with him behind the scenes. Was just 16/31 last year in the DSL which is illogical given his speed.

Does he wait until the ball is in the catchers mitt like little league rules? Those jumps must be B-R-U-T-A-L Not unexpected given his lack of experience playing the sport
