How unbearable will it be if the Red Sox go on another 86-year World Series drought? 2104 is a long way off.

Is Eovaldi going back to rotation and Cash in the pen?

I am trying to remain optimistic but this season is over isnt it? If by “over” you mean they won’t play in the post season, then yeah it’s pretty much over. My my own coping mechanism is that I focus on other things related to the Sox. That’s kinda how I started to get interested in following prospects and the minor league system in general (a while ago). There’s dozens of little things to funnel your fandom into if you’re slightly creative or open to being entertained by something that isn’t a World Series season. Just me though.

that is the 2019 Red Sox in a nutshell. Hit,DP,hit. Way to build an inning.

The top three players in the league in runs are Red Sox. Same this offense can’t carry the pitchers.

plenty of posts about the team given up, and I am not really to call anyone out, but i always thought it was kind of a silly thing to say. But what else is going on here.
There just seems to be no sense of urgency from the guys. It's getting late, you know what I am saying !!!

If our 5 pitchers had just "down years", we would be in the hunt for the division and locked in for the playoffs. I almost want to say if they just all matched their career worst year we would be better off

If the pitching coach isn't either fired or reassigned I will be completely dumbfounded.

Indians had Charlie Sheen pitching for them which trumps any World Series ring.

The Twins must really hate the Red Sox. Keep losing to the Indians while beating them.

Bad luck for X. Nearly a home run to tie it up, then incredible throw to take away a double and prevent a run

I take back all the nice things I've said about E-Rod. He's morphed back into a turd like the rest of the pitchers. There's not one guy on this pitching staff, except maybe Darwinzon whom I'm excited to see pitch next season or would really care if they were gone or not. There's obviously some guys who can rebound (Price and Sale), but as they get older it's harder to project.
