Danny Diaz HR #1 in the DSL. Now he is 4 for 4 with that HR. Good to see. Has anyone heard anything further on why he was demoted. I am hoping it was just for nonperformance and not anything having to do with behavior, etc. like was rumored when he was sent down.

17 year old reliever Adrian Hernandez in the DSL: 33.0 IP 1.09 ERA. Doesn’t strike out a lot of guys, but guys only hit .164 against him with a near 60% ground ball rate. Box score scouting only, but limiting hits against you is always good.

There was speculation about why he'd have been sent down (he wasn't doing well, but wasn't the worst hitter on the team or anything). I've posted that the team felt that would be the best place for him to continue his development this year. That's something of a non-answer that's open to interpretation, but it's all I've been able to get.

Did Bobby Dalbec decided to ditch the walks and opted for the HBPs instead 😂? I mean it's 3 HBP vs 1 BB after getting hit again tonight! Bold strategy Bobby.

McGrath finally has enough innings to qualify as the Eastern League leader. His 1.35 ERA is almost a full run better than Wells at 2,31. Interestingly, both are Aussies, that has to be rare. . . . Ian Cundall Ian Cundall· LHP Daniel McGrath done after seven strong innings. Final line: 7IP, 4H, 1ER, 0BB, 8K. Throws strikes, strong pitchability. Mixed all four pitches & kept hitters off balance throughout. FB 86-88 T89. Plays up w/deception in delivery. CH 79-81 best pitch. CB 71-75 & SL 78-80. . . . Portland Sea Dogs @portlandseadogs · Sea Dogs hold on for a 2-1 win at New Hampshire, despite one hit. Game ends on a leaping catch by RF Marcus Wilson, who crashes into the wall and doubles off Josh Palacios at second base. . . . Duran with his 25th SB as a SeaDog. He now has 43 on the year. The most by a Sox minor league player since 2012 was 52 by, believe it or not, Garin Cecchini.

Seems time to see what McGrath can do at Pawtucket.
