I’m pretty enthused to see the first images from the James Webb Space Telescope, which NASA will make available tomorrow morning at 10:30. Information I heard today from NASA is that the Webb Scope will allow scientists to examine the universe out to 13.5 billion light years. Considering that the Big Bang is estimated to have occurred 13.8 billion years ago, this scope might be capable of uncovering extraordinary details about what the early universe looked like.
Cool stuff if you dig astronomy, astrophysics or Star Trek.

I have the Webb NASA page bookmarked and check it daily. Anything that makes me realize how small we are, how little we truly know, is important to me.

Probably only new to me but.....
My hearing has gradually declined to the point that I need headphones to hear my laptop. I've been using standard headphones but the gain has been minimal. I just bought a Logitech M111 Bone Conduction set and the difference is amazing. I now have to turn down the volume to hear comfortably.
They're cheap and well worth a try if you have hearing issues.

Any NPR Science Friday listeners? I'll be on discussing a tomato breeding project with the host, Ira Flatow. It is the leadoff for the second segment, 3 pm eastern. The whole show will be posted at 2 pm eastern on Friday to check it out without listening the radio. I just finished recording it with him...was fun! Here's the link - www.sciencefriday.com/
