Something like 80% of TV viewers are in the eastern or central time zones. So even if there's a lot of LA fans watching, there's also a lot of people, including Nats fans, who are asleep. ...and a lot of time shifting these days. I've got plenty of friends who do just that, recording for later viewing. I'll bet there was a bit more draw on the electric grid in the DC area this morning. It's a very different world these days, so those numbers about the percent of viewers who are here or there, while not meaningless, don't give anywhere near the entire picture.

Killing me that the Sox are going to cut back next year and are going to let NYY get Cole.

So very excited for the end of the one-out-guy era. It's taken 20 minutes to get through three batters.

So all the rooting against the Yankees is expected, but I honestly want to commend everyone on here for how much you're also rooting against the Cardinals.

NL underdogs battle it out to face the AL big dawgs. Very interesting. I'm leaning towards a Nats vs 'Stros' WS.

Glad that the Astros won tonight. It means the Yankees will actually have to earn it to go to the World Series.
It's too bad Cole was needed for tonight's game so now he's only lined up for Games 3 and 7. Greinke has to pitch a lot better than he did last time.
And just like everybody else here, I'm rooting for an Astros/Nationals World Series and hope that Washington DC gets its first Championship since Walter Johnson's 1924 Washington Senators. Washington DC could use an uplifting story, and besides the Expos/Nationals franchise has never won the World Series or even been to the World Series.

Also rooting for DC over H-Town at this point, but another interesting story would be a STL-HOU series, considering the whole corporate espionage situation from a few years ago.
