David Price for Drew Waters That would be great! Unfortunately, the only way we move Price is for a bad contact coming back or to eat a big chunk of his salary. If we’re able to deal Price, and get any kind of return, I think San Diego is the best landing spot while taking back Hosmer or Myers.

David Price for Drew Waters Why would Atlanta do this? Trade their #3 prospect for an over-30 pitcher with a horrible contract?

David Price for Drew Waters Why would Atlanta do this? Trade their #3 prospect for an over-30 pitcher with a horrible contract? They wouldn't. That was pretty easy. Nobody is taking on his full contract, not with his health issues he's had. And it's not like he's pitching like an ace anymore. He's missed significant time in 2 of the past 3 seasons. Yeah, not happening. They'd have to take somebody back with a bad contract to make this happen. And at this point Atlanta is pretty well set for starting pitching. I think they even have Newcombe projecting to be in the pen, which is an indication that they're not short on starting pitching arms.
