As you may have heard, my mid-2012 MacBook Pro is currently a paperweight. Curious what people are using and what they think of them.
1) I'm confortable using both Windows or Mac OS, although the fact I'd backed up my MacBook days before it died on Time Machine is a big factor towards staying in that ecosystem for me (but not deal breaking, as most of my important stuff is in the cloud anyway).
2) At this point, I mostly use the laptop for SoxProspects stuff - podcast, web editing, word processing. Audio editing on occasion is the most demanding stuff I do, so I think I can stay low end. If I get a Mac, would either get an Air or the 13" Pro.
3) Probably needs to be a laptop so I can travel with it if needed, but not necessarily, so if anyone thought like me but was then proven wrong, I'm all ears. I do have a work laptop but don't want to do much non-work stuff on it for the obvious reasons.
Also would be interested in hearing if anyone has bailed on Microsoft Office and how that's worked out for them.
