Will we see anymore NHL games? Who knows.
But the Bs got a headstart to their offseason by resigning Halak to a 1 yr/2.25M deal.
EDIT another 1.25 in a very achievable bonus (10 games I believe) that will hit the following year as overage.

2020 Season is about to restart but since this is something that would've normally been done in the offseason, I'm putting it here.
Bs and Anders Bjork have agreed to a 3 yr deal (was set to be an RFA after the completion of the season) with a cap hit of 1.6
Good deal, even if he never gets any better. Great deal if he does.

According to reports, Bs looking to trade negotiating rights to Krug.
May also be in on Taylor Hall and could looked to move Debrusk if so.

More Bruins talk:
Could be discussing a Bjork for Chiasson trade - dont like that. Chiasson a big right shot winger seems to be another in the line of big wings that dont play big types and I still believe in Bjork. Even if I'm wrong, hes pretty cheap so . . .
Have been gauging the interest on Rask - again, I dont like it. Who is available that is better? Dont believe Halak can carry the load for the whole season and playoffs.
One of 2 teams in on Ekman Larsson - dont know where I stand. Hes overpaid at 8.5 per so if you're just taking that salary, wouldn't you be better off keeping Krug? If Arizona is going to retain some of the value, then you have to give up a legit package which Boston can likely be outbid on.

Pretty uneventful draft for the Bruins. No 1st rounder (traded for Kase) so here is what they ended up with:
2(58) - Mason Lohrei, 6-4/200, D, USHL - very much off the board as even Draft Analyst (Top 300) didn't have him ranked 3(89) - Trevor Kuntar, 6-0/200, LW, USHL - 83rd on Craig Button's (TSN) list 5(151) - Mason Langenbrunner, 6-2/166, D, USHL - 137 on Draft Analyst 6(182) - Riley Duran, 6-1/174, C, USHL - 142 on Draft Analyst

Day 1 of FA in the books. Bs resigned Kevin Miller (if its depth only, fine. But some of the young guys need the chance and will likely be more effective).
Of course, they lost Krug but, surprisingly, to St Louis. Krug said they never made an offer (beyond the 6/6.5 from last year).
Rumors are the Taylor Hall is mulling a short term deal from Boston.
Nothing else really being discussed.

Craig Smith at 3/3 is a great deal. If it's the ONLY deal, that's a different story.

The defense is too thin - they'll need to do something there.

The defense is too thin - they'll need to do something there. They seem to be interested in MacKenzie Weegar, an RFA from Florida. With rumored interest in multiple top 6 forwards (Hall, Dadonov, Hoffman), it makes me wonder if they would trade DeBrusk for a D.
