Weber is throwing meatballs. This won't end well.

A first row homer to right field in Yankee Stadium is the stupidest thing in sports.

Weber. Middle reliever at best.
Sigh.

I am blacked out. How bad was the baserunning error Scale of 1-10? 8ish. But he is, as Remy was saying, a really bad baserunner, so may not be his worst of the season. Edit: if you are a career sub 100 OPS+ guy, career sub .300 OBP, you really better attend to the details. Being a legitimately terrible baderunner is a serious problem. This is something I love about JBJ and loved about Mookie... they are smart, smart players.

Jen McCaffrey @jcmccaffrey · 8m Oof. Pillar doubled off might come back to haunt them.

We need to find another starter and let Weber be a middle inning guy. He needs to be hitting his spots and getting the borderline strikes just to be successful

I’d say take Weber out and call that good. 3 innings, 2 runs is fine. Amazing — 3 hits, 3 bbs, no Ks. Bank it, call yourself lucky, go to the pen.

we lost momentum. JD swinging at a borderline 1st pitch strike and getting doubled. Frustrated. I got MFY friends I want to grind to no end

Has Verdugo hit a ball in the air yet?

Maybe I liked it better when Chavis struck out.
So, basically, after X singles, the Sox make 5 outs: CVaz Ks, Verdugo taps into what should have been two, and Chavis gets it done with a double play. Painful.

Weber has no room for error. Not good for multiple innings

For a sinker ball pitcher, he sure works a lot at the top of the zone. Not good.

Maybe it is time to call Andrew Cashner and Jason Vargas.

Looking at the roster, the draft really didn't produce much over the last 5 year. is Chavis the best that came out of that period?
