Let's not get too crazy here... The guy has 6.8 career fWAR in ten seasons, a career 100 wRC+ as a first baseman, and is about to turn 35. That walk-off was awesome, and he's good depth at $3 million, but I wouldn't count on him for anything more than that - for the 2021 roster, or in terms of trade value.

Ok. This is information none of you really needs to know, but i am gonna tell you, because my days on the game thread will be limited and you all are my Sox brothers (and sisters, if so be) whom i enjoy interacting with. I got mad at MLB.TV and have cut off my nose to spite my face. I was pissed about the number of blackouts (i am in NY market) and asked for some credit against this years subscription. I asked 2x politely, they never got back to me. On my 3rd attempt, I made a fateful decision to cancel this year. The pride goeth before the fall and now i can't watch the games. Although, the season is trash, some of my favorite days are watching the Sox and being on the game thread. I only hope my anger doesn't spill into next year. It isn't the same thing, to follow on the internet. I am sure I will do it some, but if you dont see me on the game thread, you'll know why. Go Sox !!!!! You will be missed, see you next year. thanks Phil (and chris). I will still be around a bit. I cant quit the Sox or this site.

He's done this for years, his career splits show you that. So in a short season where every game matters more and he likely won't wear down I think teams would be all over him. Nevermind so many NL teams that didn't plan on meeting true DH type bats. I'm not talking huge return yet it could be sneaky good. Let's say former top pitching prospect maybe out of options, something like that.

You could get YouTube TV for a few months to get NESN, yet not sure how it works in NY. Only used it in Maine and Mass, which you get every game.
Like they blacked out the Celtics on TNT, yet not NBC Boston.

Benintendi I'm legitimately worried about not rebounding because he's been lost for longer than this season. His swing is still near perfect, just in the wrong place. Big uppercut. To me he's under the fastball and over soft stuff...I don't think that his bat is in the pitch plane very long. When he is on the ball or a bit out in front, his rising bat tops the ball like Bradley. Also like Bradley he more often hits the ball in the air to left...as his bat is lower on its path and slightly behind the pitch. He then hits on or just under the ball. As with Bradley, the shifts leave almost the entire left side open. If you're 2-36, an easy base hit by bunt will help the team and perhaps you. Bradley did so early or in the Spring. Both should do so whenever given the chance until they get untracked. Less macho, more help for the team. Waaay back Dalton Jones was said to have the prettiest swing. Too bad it didn't translate. He ended up hitting .235 and was out of baseball at 28.

He gets on long streaks, admitted, then will fall off. wasn't it 2y ago he was super hot for like 2 months to start the season, then fell off the cliff rest of the year?
