Verdugo would be a great Yankee. But wait till you see that kid they get in A ball! He could maybe one day be Verdugo. I figure they’ll get three guys who are not as good as Verdugo combined.

Why can't Jackie have swings like that more often? To me he over swings and try to crush everything.

Wow this team struggle to hit with runners on. Strikeouts, doubleplays have kill them since last season.

Torres 3/3. Let's hope playing the Sox doesn't wake him up.

if you are giving up bombs to Gary Sanchez, you likely wont have a relief job for too much longer.

Boston Strong @bostonstrong_34 · 2h Tom Werner was on NESN earlier today, mentioned that they’re extremely dissapointed with the team’s performance even if they have some key players down. A lot of trading expected to come for players that don’t have long term contracts with the team.

But this ^^^ is a BS reason for what is about to happen. They lost their top 2 starters before this abortion of a season began and are trying to pass off a bunch of AAA quality relievers as a major league pitching staff but it is the player's fault? Really Tom?

They have hitters underperforming. They have pitchers who regularly fail to succeed. The defense is poor.
You’d think Ron Roenicke would not be back next year. But if the front office rationalizes that he had a weak roster and they keep him for another year, surely the coaching staff needs a complete makeover.

Tom Werner is in CYA mode. This team lost too many players, some at his and Henry's behest, to be complaining about the record. The results aren't there, but i am not sure that the effort is lacking. it's baseball, the game is slow to being with. I think guys want to win, but the pitching alone will likely prevent any type of winning streak.

Well, look on the bright side - in a full 50% of their games, the Red Sox haven't given up 7 runs or more.

Really Tom? In fairness, they were unlikely to win 1-0 tonight with a full staff. Their offense can’t hide behind their pitching. And their defense is no great shakes. And RR doesn’t seem like a good manager. So....

Devers collected 200 hits last season. This year he can't buy one.

The bright side, the Sox started 6-13 last year. (read that someplace so I don't want to take credit but I don't remember where).
