That’s the package the Red Sox should be shopping. Can they get Abrams & Campusano from San Diego for them?

Doubtful. That's 2 top ~60 prospects for a pending free agent, a nice little first baseman with one option year left, and Benintendi who, for all anybody knows, has lost the ability to hit a baseball.

I think San Diego is a trade partner for sure, but I would imagine it'll be Vazquez and Workman going that way, and I'd be surprised to see one of their guys in the top 100 coming back unless there's some salary relief component as well.

With the rumors have Benni on the block curious on some of you all’s thoughts? Would Benni for Moose and Sonny Gray work? Reds trying to shed payroll with moose being overpaid but still a solid player who could play 2B/1B.

I would imagine if the Sox are taking on that salary there has to be a prospect coming back to Boston. Otherwise it would be derailing the plan of taking on another team's onerous salaries only as a means of adding long-term sustainable success. One negative with Gray is his work with the Yankees leads to concern about his ability to perform in a big market with very high expectations and little patience.
