Congratulations on your call up today, Bobby Dalbec. For the rest of you life you’re a big leaguer.

I’m calling a home run for Dalbec No pressure. Personally, I hope you’re a prophet.

Where did that thing end up? I thought it was a first row pole shot but it looked like it dropped in about 20 rows back (which is upper deck in RF YS, btw).

... and that was one he miss-hit. It will be interesting to see how far they go when he doesn't.

This is more like it: — I like Dalbec’s flick homer better than pull bomb. I know he can hit bombs, but 0-2 opposite field? Solid. — I like that Verdugo doesn’t seem to do dumb, young guy stuff. That catch with Devers bearing down was actually a pretty tough play. — I like getting a lead so Godley can pitch to contact. Fine, the gods puff Harrison’s ball out, but right back with a ground out. No walks= good things.
And any game when X and Devers go bridge is exactly to plan.

Where did that thing end up? I thought it was a first row pole shot but it looked like it dropped in about 20 rows back (which is upper deck in RF YS, btw). The second time they showed it it looked like it was at least 20 ft beyond the pole and maybe 10 rows in? It wasn’t a good view. It wasn’t a big bomb, but not a cheapo wrapped around the pole either.

Is a 2.500 OPS sustainable?

Thames, whose name I insist on pronouncing like the river, could play Superman in a movie. Dude is jacked.

One thing's for certain, Xander, Raffy, Verdugo, and now Bobby Bombs will keep on making this team fun to watch even as our record sinks beyond the new ends to the earth that Bobby V speaks of in my signature. There's been lots of debate lately about whether or not we should root for the Red Sox to lose, but personally, watching the boys do damage just never gets old...the ideal outcome would probably be the offense scoring 8 runs per game while assorted scrub pitchers who probably won't be in our plans next year or beyond give up 10-12.

I’m going to say it. I think Osich could be a keeper. He reminds me a bit of Alan Embree.

There are those guys who struggle as they get to the top rung of the ladder because they reach the outer limits of their capabilities.
Then you sometimes find guys with big tools who put pressure on themselves going up the ladder, trying to hard to strive for the next promotion, and find a new performance level in the majors because they have no more promotions to strive for, so their own personal pressure trigger is off.
Hope Dalbec is one of the latter.
