The Red Sox really came through in the clutch tonight. That was a badly needed loss.
Now if the Red Sox can see this through to the end and lose at least 2 of 3 to Atlanta, then they have really set themselves up in a fantastic position for next July.
At this point, it's almost as interesting as being in a pennant race, not that one will exist anymore with the way the owners want every team hovering around .500 or above to make the playoffs.
You know things are warped when you hope to hell they lose and are disappointed when they win rather than the other way around. I hope this is the only season I feel this away for a long, long time.

In other exciting news: Chavis has gone 20 PAs in a row without a strikeout.

Ian Browne @ianmbrowne · 1h Tzu-Wei Lin is pitching the ninth inning. Could you pick a more fitting way for the 2020 season to end at Fenway Park? . . . He should stick to catching

I really, really, really want the 3rd pick. 2nd would have been nice.

The bottom line is we have to lose tonight with Mazza against Wright. With Houck and Pivetta, I want them to do well.
