Catcher Wes Clarke of South Carolina has hit three HR tonight and already has six on the year.

Clarke is just their back up catcher, he is primarily so far this year their DH.

Fabian will come down to what he can do on the weekends vs the SEC.

Jaden Hill showing some 1-1 stuff today. The FB, curve, and change all looking real strong. Look out: In the event Hill is around, he is unpassable. This is my guy.

Hill is also My Guy. And I am a Gators fan.

Here's a guy with a wide range of draft outcomes....could conceivably go top 10, could be around in Round 2 as well:

The changeup at the end of the inning is a beauty following a steady onslaught of 97-98:

With my eyes Leiter has been the most impressive of the big name starters and it doesn't seem close.

The changeup at the end of the inning is a beauty following a steady onslaught of 97-98: I’d very much like a pitcher that sports Jordan ones on the mound.

Hill was very workmanlike. Ton of weak grounders on low sinkers. Threw 7 or 8 stunning changeups. Breaking pitches were spiked or rolled out of his hand most of the time.
- 6.0 IP career high, 77 pitches - 0 ER - 1 H - 0 BB - 4 K

Seeing how I own 4 or 5 pairs of the Jordan 1s I'm moving this guy to number 1 on my draft board. Can't beat that style. For real though that's a pretty impressive video right there. If this guy can stay healthy the sky is the limit

The changeup at the end of the inning is a beauty following a steady onslaught of 97-98: I'm far from a pro scout so I ask this genuinely - as far as deliveries go, that's about as low-effort (at least for someone who throws that hard) as it gets, right? It looks super easy

Joe Doyle @joedoylemilb · 15m RHP Sam Bachman, University of Miami (OH), averaged 96.2 mph on his FB last night. Touched 99.2. Only two pitchers, Joe Boyle and Burl Carraway, had a bigger avg FB in 2020. Bachman's SL averaged 87.2 mph. CH @ 85.6. Bowling ball arsenal.
He'll be popular this spring. #MLBDraft

Leiter gives me big Roy Oswalt vibes. Not quite as skinny as Oswalt, but the same drive behind the fastball mixed with a ridiculous curve, easy delivery, wrinkle in the follow-through where he falls off to the glove side a little bit.

Meanwhile, apparently Tom Glavine's kid is at Auburn and took the L in the 10th.

The Auburn Pitcher is channeling Red Sox era Rod Beck! He looks at least 35 years old. Also RIP Rod Beck. I totally forgot he'd died and was so young.

This isn't draft relevant for the 2021 draft, but a look at the best underclassmen so far this year. I'll never know for sure if Kevin Parada was signable for Blaze Jordan money....but I'm on record and doubling down that he is the guy I wanted in Round 3 last year.

I've been really impressed with Dylan Crews so far. Selective approach, outstanding on-base skills for a freshman, excellent gap-to-gap power with smooth, easy mechanics. I think he'll add a bit more power and he's already sporting an Iso near .300. Big fan.
