Always was impressed with Rodon's stuff going back to college. In the pros he seemed to get hurt every time he looked like he might be putting it together. Still crazy to me that the White Sox nontendered him and got away with it. Well, after the TJ surgery he's somehow come back looking like his college self. Watched him pumping 98mph fastballs in there in the 9th inning. If he steps up, that White Sox team is pretty dangerous with Giolito, Lynn, and Rodon leading the rotation.

This is cool.
ADD: read the whole thread if you're, like me, unfamiliar with Kazmar's story.

Mets pitchers (de Grom and Diaz) combined for 17 Ks in 7 innings. That is pretty impressive.

This is cool. ADD: read the whole thread if you're, like me, unfamiliar with Kazmar's story. I remember this spring, we were playing Atlanta and Kazmar got an AB. Remembering him as a prospect from a while ago and hearing "junior", I assumed it was his kid until I looked him up.

Just imagine if Bloom had pounced on Rodón when he was nontendered by the White Sox in Dec. of 2020. It's the sort of move you can imagine Bloom or the Rays making.

Wow, these Padres-Dodgers games have been thrilling to watch. Two great, fairly evenly matched teams with a lot of emotion and chippiness on both sides; somewhat reminiscent of the intense mid-2000s Sox-Yanks battles. 10/10, will keep watching the rest of them.
And check out the end of this one...

I understand trading him more than many but he could be our guy. Oakland goes from 1-7 to 11-7..... baseball is so much a game of streaks. Hitting, pitching, winning when your'e feeling it your feeling it, that's the beauty of it. Like being a 20 handicap and grooving a golf shot that looks like a pro hit it, just simple bliss.

Would be pretty cool if more teams followed this style: The Mariners do it best, but a few other teams like the Brewers, Royals, Rangers, and Giants provide great access. The Red Sox set up a similar twitter account, but so far it has just retweeted stuff and not really provided anything new.

De Grom has an 0.31 ERA. Now, I know this is old fashioned, but that seems pretty solid to me.

Byron Buxton is finally putting IT all together and it's so so fun to watch. Can't wait to see him roaming Fenway center field in 2023.
