Byron Buxton is finally putting all together and it's so so fun to watch. Can't wait to see him roaming Fenway center field in 2023. That's hilarious 😅

Oliver Perez DFA. Might make a good replacement for Josh Taylor.

Oliver Perez DFA. Might make a good replacement for Josh Taylor. That's a really good thought. Hope they pounce on it.

Oliver Perez DFA. Might make a good replacement for Josh Taylor. The 3 batter minimum rule is supposedly a killer for him. Hasn’t been reflected in his numbers yet that’s for sure. I looked at his platoon splits and he’s had years where he’s been legitimately good against righties and seasons where he’s been hammered by them- I think you have to be very selective of the righties you let him face but you have to be selective of everybody you let Taylor face so sure why not? If managed properly he could be a good add

Long national nightmare? Over. JBJ has walked. Do you believe in miracles? (To mix historical cliches).

Long national nightmare? Over. JBJ has walked. Do you believe in miracles? (To mix historical cliches). JBJ finished the night at BA .207 - OPS .630 compared to Hernandez who has played the majority of his time in CF at BA .230 - OPS .671.

For those of you who pay more attention to the majors in general than me - what is going on with Keston Hiura? I thought that guy was going to be an offensive superstar coming out of college, and after his rookie year I was even more convinced, but he's fallen off a cliff these last couple years to where he might be out of the league soon.

I see Mike Trout just passed Ken Griffey Jr. and is now #41 on the career fWAR list.

Luis Robert out for 12-16 weeks. Tough.
So far, the Sox have definitely been lucky not to have any of these injuries. 🧿

Jacoby Ellsbury has been an amazing asset for the Sox over his career and we're not only talking about them rings..

Jacoby Ellsbury has been an amazing asset for the Sox over his career and we're not only talking about them rings.. What happens if the grievance isn't resolved prior to the draft and then they rule in favor of ellsbury? Hopefully they'd lose 10 spots in next year's draft but it wouldn't surprise me if that wasn't the case.

From today's Fangraphs newsletter: There's 100% chance he slammed his hand on the desk when he got sniped in some game or other. Bad luck, but there's still some fib in "accidentally bumped."

From today's Fangraphs newsletter: There's 100% chance he slammed his hand on the desk when he got sniped in some game or other. Bad luck, but there's still some fib in "accidentally bumped." I've had friends who would move with the controller during particularly tense moments. Possible it's something like that? That said... you're probably right. signed, guy who once broke his hand hitting a wall (that was not as padded as I thought it was) while playing pickup hoops.
