RIP classic box scores. They are apparently no longer supported by MiLB.com - something about a site upgrade and new coding language. They were working right up until - opening day. So, we'll have to live with the newer gameday version.

Raining this morning in DC. Not supposed to last into the day, but not sure if Delmarva is going to get this a few hours later like last night.

If you are looking for live updating classic box scores you can get them hereThis is the same thing that can be found in the box scores link in the Gameday thread. There was another version, that I called 'classic boxscores'. I can't even provide a link to show because all the old links (I just went back to find a 2019 Gameday thread) are no longer functioning.

Decker takes a pitch out to right field off a righty for his first home run of the season.

Jay Groome pitching a stinker. Not as bad as it looks. Infield single and a pop up that just fell in for the two hits. He’s had some issues with the fastball command, leading to the two walks but the curveball looks good. Got one guy to swing through three curveballs in a row for a strikeout. Sitting 91-92 according to the MiLB TV commentator.

Hitting a batter and walking another with the bases loaded is a stinker in my book lol. I don't think they'll let him come in for the 2nd inning with the work load he has to put to get out of the first (30 p- 17 s). Here's hoping for much better outing next time.

Could have gone better, but like Speier said in a tweet it’s been 1,352 days since the last time he pitched in a full season ball game. Let’s see how the 2nd goes.

Sorry that wrote much snarkier than intended.
And fair point. I read it as "regular season."

Groome had a problem putting guys away. Two of the guys that did damage against him were down 0-2 before he just grooved one right over the heart of the plate. Something to work on.

In important news, Jeremy Wu-Yelland has some flow. Looks like he hasn’t cut his hair since quarantine.

Probable rotations for the rest of the week:
DATE: WOR; POR; GRE; SAL 5/6: Gossett; German/Winckowski; Van Belle/YPA; Zeferjahn 5/7: Gonsalves; Ward; Murphy; Blalock 5/8: Hart; Crawford; Bello; Drohan 5/9: Houck; Politi; Shugart; Ramirez
Portland is admittedly a guess. They could always push everyone back and have, say, Kent start game 2 tomorrow.

Dead center shot for Matthew Lugo. Got a good swing on what looked to be a fastball inside.

Dead center shot for Matthew Lugo. Got a good swing on what looked to be a fastball inside. It was a hanging breaking ball actually. lol. Also, I'd missed this, but Buffalo is wearing Trenton Thunder jerseys. I wonder if they're going to just say in Trenton all year now.

I’m not a fan of the above home plate camera.

Not going to guess at what it was this time, but Alex Erro just hit a deep bomb the other way to right center. Took a ball down and in over the wall. First career minor league home run.

Prediction as Groome was back in his 91-92 comfort zone, is that he slides further down the SP prospects list. I know that he has had injuries, surgery and lost development time, but I don't think that he makes it.
