With him stopping the Ks and drawing walks, you have a sens it won't take long before he sends one into the outer space

Casas with HR #2. Another bomb to right field. Hit this one out of the crouch.

Casas nearly left the yard... literally.

Funny moment in Greenville. Alan Marrero tries to throw out a baserunner and the ball ends up in right field. Not like right center. Straight away right field, almost over the first baseman’s head. Slipped out of his hand. Never seen that one before.

Casas is getting himself into favorable counts (3-0 on the second tater, 3-1 on the double) and he's doing damage. Having an advanced approach at the plate is paying dividend

And of course that's exactly what you want to see Casas doing with a batting practice pitch.

Jordan Divalerio with a really nice start to the season. I know it's going to take a lot more than three good appearances to get excited about a UDFA, even as a future reliever, but the fact they had Chris Sale call him as part of their pitch must show they thought pretty highly of him, right?

Is there any chance, at all, that if Casas continues to scorch the ball he'll get a cup of coffee in September?

That double may have been his most impressive piece of hitting last night. That wasn't a bad pitch but he just went with it and got a nice line drive double. The home runs were crushed but not exactly well executed pitches. Good to see him have himself a day and hopefully this is the beginning of a breakout.

Went to Drive game but only stayed four innings. It was COLD and I was not in my sweaters and overcoat, mittens, etc. Only highlight for me was a rocket throw from Esplin in RF to nail Brooklyn runner trying to score from second on a sharp single. Throw was a perfect one bounce to Marrero for a quick catch and tag. Hoping for better weather, and results, tonight.
