Dalbec hitting well lets Bloom trade Devers for prospects as soon as Casas is ready.

Pretty impressive to see what Barnes has become. Filthy.

What is going on with Verdugo. He's in a very under the radar slump.

We have to give Barnes a qualifying offer if he keeps it up, no?

Matt Barnes with the fuck you save. 1 run lead, 11 pitches, no balls in play, 3 strikeouts, let's get out of here. What an absolute UNIT.

Pretty impressive to see what Barnes has become. Filthy. And after this season, he'll be not only filthy but FILTHY RICH. He's going to make some cash as a FA. I mean he came into this game with .9 WAR, 15 K's/9 and 1.5 BB/9. Ridiculous.

We have to give Barnes a qualifying offer if he keeps it up, no? I've thought about this and I think they probably won't. There's a real risk that he'll accept it and I don't see CB wanting any part of paying a closer $19M/year. OTOH, the QO might be leverage to get him to agree to a more reasonable AAV over three or four years. I think the QO would make it tough for him to sign with another team. It would dramatically shrink his market and he and his agent have to know that.

It is great to see that Andriese was credited with the win because he was just lights out.

One quarter of the way through the season 1st place 24-16😀 24 wins. It took a whole season to do that last year.

Baseball is a weird game. This win was brought to you by the bottom of the order. Who'da thunk!?!?!

On winning teams that happens a bit. Nothing weird about it. It happened a few games ago and it will happen again before the season is over.
Once Dalbec starts to scare pitchers I expect he'll exercise the BB part of the TTO profile. That should set the table for a few runs at the top of the order. And I hope Renfroe keeps working the outside part of the plate to right field. That's not easy for a dead pull hitter, but he's gotten a few hits that way. That should draw a few pitches into his wheelhouse.
So there's hope.

Prediction: when Hernandez come off the DL then Franchy visits Worchester (Rusney style). I do not think he will play well enough in AAA to be called up (non-tender candidate)?

Prediction: when Hernandez come off the DL then Franchy visits Worchester (Rusney style). I do not think he will play well enough in AAA to be called up (non-tender candidate)? Understand Franchy is struggling mightily, but why are so many people rooting against this guy. It's becoming almost as perplexing as the Rocker hate. We see that Renfro has worked himself out his funk with regular playing time. It's almost like a not-so-hidden pleasure seeking at his hoped-for demise. Cordero had, what, less than 300 MLB at bats in three years and battling injuries throughout with not that many more minor league at bats. This kid needs almost a full year in AAA playing everyday to get back in track to, perhaps, getting on the road to reaching his potential. I, for one, wish him all the best in Worcester to get both his stroke and his confidence back.

Franchy Cordero is getting a major league salary but is living in all your heads rent free.
