Middle of the minor league season. Will this be like a Future’s Game situation where they’ll leave the team for a short period of time and go on a TIA list?

Not sure how Duran will be in two places at once since he'll be manning LF on June 1st.

It is a great commendation for both. As far as Duran, honestly, I would rather have him up here by that point, if he is performing well and our LF situation hasn't gotten better.

Honestly, I'm sure if he is actually up by then they can pull him off the roster. Not sure this says anything either way.

Bring up Duran now and put him in LF. Frenchy Cordero is not helping in anyway.

Jeter Downs said yesterday he's hoping to play for Colombia.

Yeah this is some quality praise: If there's anyone that knows about five-tool outfielders...

Yeah this is some quality praise: If there's anyone that knows about five-tool outfielders... I don't think he was using the term strictly by the book. Duran's arm clearly isn't plus. I think he was using it to describe a complete all around athlete with no obvious holes. I could be wrong but that's how I took his statement. To me, his arm is not as good as JBJ or Renfroe but not as bad as Ellsbury, Damon or Crisp.

From what I've read he has a second baseman's arm....perhaps below average for an outfielder.

Everyone has they're 2 cents. Mine is averagish. I saw a few decent but not outrageous throws when he was in Salem. It should improve with reps and mechanics but I doubt it will ever be better than average. Right field is not likely in his future.
Like I said, I think he was using the term figuratively, not literally and were getting hung up with semantics again. It was strong praise, accept it as that.

Maybe I am wrong but I've gone through fifty years thinking the five tools are: hit, hit with power, run, field, throw.
