Inspired by today's gameday thread title, I decided to take a peek at what Groshans is doing down in Salem (reminder...Low-A). It's pretty impressive.
Of qualified hitters (n = 74) in the Low-A East League, his wRC+ of 171 currently ranks 2nd. Perhaps as impressive, his approach numbers are outstanding...19.2% BB% to a 16.7% K%, good for a 1.15 BB/K ratio. Of the 8 guys with a wRC+ of 150 or greater in the league, he has the best BB/K ratio (the 2nd best is 0.76).
And yes...Groshans is a college draft pick from 2019 only playing in Low-A currently, but he was relatively young as a college pick when drafted and is still 22, not crazy old for the league (Joe Davis and Stephen Scott for example are 24).

There's no player in the system called JAXX, that's too badass and ergo not possible, don't make stuff up.

He keeps putting up a line like that and we’ll have to start calling him Jaxxx because that’s sexy

I don't know if you can find exit velocities for Salem but in my few games I've viewed on milb tv he's hit some balls very hard into the outfield. Between Cottam and Groshans we've got a couple somewhat interesting catchers to watch in A ball.

Just looked and Groshans is the only college catcher from the first 10 rounds of the 2019 draft who got more than $67.5k and isn't in High-A yet. Looks like a potential candidate for a promotion soon.
He is on the younger end of that group, fwiw, with a July 1998 birthday and a range from roughly mid-'97 to mid-'98

Ideally you’d like to see Groshans get up to Greenville at some point this year but there’s actually a catcher logjam really which is new:
Worcester: 4 catchers-#2 catching prospect (Wong) and 2 MLB vets (Bandy and Hermann). Madden is there too but he’s an org guy
Portland: 3 catchers-#1 catching prospect (Hernandez), best arm in the system (Pereda), and Roldani Baldwin
Greenville: 3 catchers-#3 catching prospect (Kottam), best overall defensive catcher (A. Marrero), another good defensive catcher (E. Marrero).
Barring injuries or trades, I don’t really see a path moving upwards for Jaxx. For a college guy that’s currently in low-A, not the best career path. That’s fine though. Him and Joe Davis are doing their job in Salem. Not really any reason to push them up.
If he does get promoted soon, where does the playing time come from?

Groshans and Cottam could easily split catching duties in Greenville. They've been playing about half of their teams' games as it is.
I'm not worried about displacing either Marrero.
