I'm really enjoying watching how pumped up for the Olympics Casas is. Get used to winning brother!

Yes Murphy to Portland. Bradford had a piece trading this kid for Bard. Lol. If he can get his homer issues solved he could be a good one. Probably just a command thing, hopefully it improves over time. He’s already fixed the control problems, that’s the next logical step

That's even more true of Houck. In fact, Houck is likely going to give you 3 good innings, and then it's gradually downhill from there. At least so far. But he doesn't need that 3rd pitch - Sarcasm should be shown in italics. Well aware. And I always put sarcasm in italics. Not relevant here. Show me where where Houck has been effective after 3-4 innigs? Someone, guessing ericvan, posted his stats on times through the order. Not pretty after the first time. Love Houck, just not sure he's shown that he can be effective more than 1 time through the batting order (so far). Which screams multi-inning reliever to me. Whitlock role, sort of. Although they're doing it with Whitlock for health reasons. It'sd an important role. Can he be more in the future? Possibly. Hopefully. But with the way pitching staffs are used these days, he can be incredibly valuable in either role.

So the question of sarcasm aside, I read you as saying that Houck is destined to be a 3 inning reliever because he lacks a third pitch. At this point, I agree with that.

Id be more worried about casas kids carrying tool was suppose to be power and as a 1b only prospect he has 6hrs in AA. Downs has shown the ability to steal bases, flash power and play multiple positions. A couple minor adjustments and he will be a fan favorite. Casas had 2 HRs today, so feel better. He only had the one. I'm guessing you got fooled the way I did in that the NBC Olympics account tweeted the HR when it happened and then (I think) did again later while it was on US TV. The two being so far apart in time fooled me too.

Question is, like you said, the weird HR problems. Like you I wonder if he's leaving cookies out over the plate.
