Brasier up and Arroyo activated, Whitlock DL and Jack Lopez removed are the corresponding moves
Make that 3 quality bats off the bench (4 if you count Plawecki)

Hernandez 8 Schwarber DH Bogaerts 6 Devers 5 Martinez 7 Verdugo 9 Dalbec 3 Vazquez 2 Iglesias 4 I gotta be honest, it’s kinda nice to have that 1 starting-caliber player who doesn’t fit into the lineup every night- tonight’s PH are Renfroe and Shaw Schwarber batting 2nd. Yes! That is exactly where he belongs. |

I didn't even notice Renfroe was missing tonight. He's their 5th best RHH right now.
I don't think it's an advantage worth paying two DH / LF types upwards of $20M each for a whole season. But it's a great move for the last two months of a year, especially if the addition is making walk-year money as is the case here.
How bad is Verdugo in CF? Ideally, I’d like to see him there and Kikè playing 2B. That allows all the best bats to be in there at the same time. |

It makes you wonder if Tanner Nishioka might have gotten a call. |

Haven’t been posting as much in these threads, but I’m still watching nearly every game.
I know it’s a minority opinion, but I hate these uniforms. I get it if they want to wear them for Patriots Day weekend, but I just don’t like them at all.

I would have liked to see Shaw DH and Schwarber in LF. Shaw is a really good low ball hitter which fits against Stroman’s sinker

I'm sorry for years here in central NJ I had to watch Mets telecasts when the Red Sox played them and had to sit and listen to the smug Darling and Hernandez drone on and on about 1986. I have no love for the Mets nor their fans. I just feel sorry for the Sox fans that came to this game not knowing they were going to be drowning in a sea of MFMs fans.

Yes the best bats, but the defense definitely suffers huge with that alignment. JD and Schwarber are in all effects both DHs. Their defense is bad and it weakens the area Sox in CF as well. For next year it will be Schwarber or JD, but i can not see Bloom both on the 40-man |
