I'm 50% putting Bobby D at 2nd is the dumbest thing I ever heard and 50% wow I really want to see how good he might look there, I'm intrigued. I had the same exact reaction, half disgusted by the idea and half intrigued.

I think Ryan Fitzgerald is a real threat to make the roster as things currently stand We gave Motter a chance last year so why not let Fitzgerald play a Brok Holt type role Motter came up during the covid outbreak. Fitzgerald has barely any AAA time. They're not going to call him up to ride the bench - Araúz is perfectly capable of that and on the 40-man.

Sox are going to be good this year. I am super happy we did not tie up big money on over rated players or pay for their declining years. We can buy at the deadline if needed. Let's roll with what we have. I would only want a solid back end of the pen guy.

Wow, I didn't realize there will only be 10 ST games. I guess there's not a ton of time. Buckle up! Ten home games, to be clear. Yeah, my bad. I guess it's 19 total. Makes more sense.

I loved Youk after every Sox hit, saying "That was a really nice swing." Kidding aside, I thought Youk was really good. Funny, very insightful, relaxed, good stories.

Hey, no spoliers! I just tuned in! Is it a delayed broadcast? MLB.TV, so you can pause it and pick it up later if, for example, you have a dentist appointment...

They're not going to call him up to ride the bench - Araúz is perfectly capable of that and on the 40-man. I'm skeptical about running Araúz out there as the default. I think we've seen what he is and it's not a big-leaguer. I definitely missed the Yolmer Sánchez signing. Nothing special at the plate (like Araúz, he's a switch-hitter who's better from the left side) but he won the Gold Glove at 2B in 2019 (made a couple pretty slick plays there today, as well). Didn't play last year for whatever reason but he's only 29 and can also play SS and 3B. Seems like a better UT option than Araúz and, based on AC's predilection for veteran UT types, I'd say it's Yolmer's job to lose. Maybe Fitzy (or Arauz or Hamilton) plays his way into the conversation by the second half (especially if Yolmer pulls a Marwin in the first half).

Maybe Franchy will be the Franchy we thought we were getting this year. That would be a huge positive! Plus speed, double-plus raw... could tap into both with an improved hit tool.

He is going to be 28!! He’s been a deer in the headlights for years. I have locked in my Wily Mo memory box.

Franchy is here to set records that will stand forever in Polar Park, and that alone
I bet he hits a 510 ft shot out there this year

In today's game, 2B might be the least important position on the field. This statement will be true until the 2023 season. Then shifts will be banned and second baseman will need range all over again. Having a great second baseman will be important to stopping those dead pull LHB. It'll all of a sudden become one of the most important positions outside of SS, CF, C.

I'm fine giving him a second 2018 World Series Appreciation Contract
