Mayer with 3 k today, something to keep an eye since he had a 25.2% K rate in Florida last year.

Brainer 1-2 with two more walks .318/.571/.318 Interesting line. Has he hit one out of the IF yet?

I've long since stopped believing the hype on MFY prospects, especially position players. I mean why isn't Ricky Ledee or Nick Johnson in the HOF already? Gary Sanchez reminder here today.
They are so overrated always it annoys me. Anyone else remember Jesus Montero or Brad Halsey? Lol There must be some type of scouting payoff. And nevermind those prospects in the Chapman Reds trade who clearly sucked I have to disagree...I don't think Yankees prospect Garrett Whitlock was overrated at all.... ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Tyler McDonough started 0-13 with 7 Ks and since then has gone 9-27 (.333) with 4 doubles, a home run, and only 4 Ks.

Red Sox fans will remember another God of Walks that ended up with 150 major league home runs despite not showing much more power than Brainer has in the minors.

Man, Bello looks like he has solid, easy mechanics. I love how he throws.

When do games start in the FCL? Asking for the Miggy Bleis fan club… No set date yet, but it has traditionally started the last week of June. If I had to guess, June 27 will be opening day in the FCL.

But you can see him adjusting and I'm excited to see how he responds on the longer term. As I mentioned in my post: He struck out a lot for a guy with such a smooth swing last year ( Anything north of 25% is a lot in my book if power isn’t your calling card) and his Ks have been climbing lately as he struck out 8 times in his last 4 games. His overall contact numbers aren’t bad though as his swing and miss percentage (11.7%) is 26th in the Carolina League and 4th on the team behind Bonaci, Hickey and Ugueto. Let’s see where he’s at after 150 PA. I’m not worried yet but it’s definitely something to keep an eye on in my opinion.
