Kiké coming back.
This is starting to remind me of Farrell riding with the vets that had little long-term value to the team.

Is the idea that they should give up on their starting CFer, who just put up a 4 WAR season, because he's been subpar for the first month? (Much like he was last season, incidentally.)

Paxton having physical issues? I am Casablanca-levels of shocked. Sox could’ve dropped $6 million out of a plane.

If Kiké continues to suck ( meaning like his typical self, not last year hot streak Kiké), not bringing up Duran for good would be a crime.

I kind of expected us to be in dire straights after this year but not so soon. Figured ALCS was still a reasonable outcome. Bad luck is definitely a factor (hitting can't show up at the same time as good pitching, bullpen only good on days when starters were bad, bad timing on defensive lapses).
But what a disappointment without a clear way to fix it.

Xander Bogaerts JD Martinez
That's it. 11 other guys, all below their projections.
The good news is, regression to the mean is our friend...

Here’s a thought: maybe don’t have Story lead off?

Is there where I go to cash in all the karma I earned as a Chaim Bloom supporter for not giving him too much credit for all his acquisitions beating their projections in 2021?

Here’s a thought: maybe don’t have Story lead off? As sad as it is the only ppl getting on base more are hitting 2-4, him struggling to this degree is still probably their best Leadoff option

Very disappointed by Duran's return to Worcester.I had hopes he was here for the long haul, especially after the triple, BB, run.Looks like Bloom sticking with the vets come hell or high water.

Do not worry about Franchy. Unless his world changes, he is Wily Mo light and a placeholder until they bring up Casas. Casas is a hit streak from being ready, but until he hits better at Wooster, there is no need to rush him back to the Hub. EDIT: Bobby and Franchy both will get a little more runway for the moment but both are candidates for removal if their .188 and .145 BAs do not improve.

Hmmm. Pivetta hasn't walked anybody in at least 7.1 innings. I like this version.

At the game and it's truly awe inspiring to see how bad Trevor Story is at baseball right now. Though that was a ball.
