They're meant to be a lot less formal than other threads on the forum, so to moderate them the same way would be silly. However, we do ask posters to maintain a certain level of decorum in these threads, and we plan on moderating the Gameday threads a little more actively this season. In particular, we ask that posters refrain from being overly repetitive with their posts (if you've made your point, let it go), refrain from monopolizing the discussion (if you are making more than a couple posts in a row, you probably need to slow down a little bit), and of course, follow the Ground Rules ( link). The point is to make these threads worth participating in and fun for all posters, from our long-time fixtures to people just signing up today. -The Management

The legendary turnaround that will be talked about for generations and celebrated by the baseball Gods begins here. Guidas, Jesus may hate the Yankees universally, but His second least favorite team is the Dodgers. We on the left coast understand that too😀.

I’m glad AC is shaving his beard. That should help Dalbec and others hit sliders away.
To me, it isn’t out of the question that it’s time to replace one or two of the three hitting coaches on the team. Yeah, it’s partly symbolic to the team, but symbolism aside, how can you have three full time employees who’s work product is this deficient?

Would be a feat to have the bats wake up against Wright. At least we have the god Garrett going tonight.

1 2 3 4 JBJ Vazquez Franchy Kiké Story
Story is an ideal 9 hitter. Kiké fits the profile of 8.

We really really really need to start winning now!! Can we all agree that if we get swept in this series that the season is 98% over? Especially if we score less than 5 combined runs in the 2 game set?

The Red Sox are an after thought these days with the Bruins and Celtics both in the playoffs. Another couple of weeks of uninspired play will likely lead to a sell off of pending free agents, including Eovaldi, Vasquez, etc.

I was calling for something like this weeks ago, and was roundly mocked for it. I guess Cora shaving will have to suffice...

The “Red Sox are 100-0 since Orsillo called them” tweets are writing themselves

I don't think the Season From Hell factor is enough to overcome the Red Sox Dominate Interleague factor. Sweep coming.

Especially if we score less than 5 combined runs in the 2 game set? Too late…. I am not a pessimist by any means, but realistically if 92 wins will be needed to make the playoffs in 2022 like was needed in 2021, then the Red Sox would need to go 82-51….. +31 games. I will enjoy watching the rookies get their legs under themselves rather than complain about why the RS are not closing the gap.

What if Cora's beard was actually the secret to the excellent starting pitching?

Why is JBJ still the starting RF of this inept offensive team?

What if Cora's beard was actually the secret to the excellent starting pitching? If you believe that, then you probably believe jinxes are real too.

Why is JBJ still the starting RF of this inept offensive team? He’s got like the 4th highest WAR in the lineup, he’s far from the issue This isn’t to say he’s great or anything. It’s just the reality of the situation

Why is JBJ still the starting RF of this inept offensive team? JBJ has actually been one of our better batters recently.

We lose both here and the season is 99% over though
